  1. if i were you id test in vmware, if it works there then maybe some setting or file is conflicting with it inside your pc,,
  2. sorry i wish i could answer that,, perhaps if you ran a test with out your regtweaks , and if the error was fixed that would narrow it down to your regtweaks file.. thats all i can really think of,, perhaps some one else may have a better ideal.
  3. @blinkdt thats an interesting thought, id like to see that option come into play id also like to see a auto click feature meaning, a check box at the top of a section, for example if you have a programmer tools catagory and you want them all in stall,, how about a check box at the top of that catergory,, so that if its checked all progs in that category are checked also,, ii know the program W.A.I.T hoas this option but i dont like its design..
  4. thats a nice looking auto installer
  5. im not sure about this but have you checked all of your registry tweaks to make sure none of them are conflicting with file types like this,, just a thought,, but not sure,, but thats where id look if you didnt change anything in the installer like you say
  6. Official release. Version: 1.3.0.54. Release date: June 29, 2005 File name: SkypeSetup.exe download
  7. @nartac im not sure what to tell you on this,, but maybe a generic fix may work for you how about shortening your list of apps that run per stage of runonceex, to say 15 and make the app thats not finishing due to the other app running it over,, make it last on the list lets say your numbering your apps by 10's if you put the app that your having trouble with in spot 150,, it may fix your problem, because it will have to finish installing before it moves on to the next lot of 15 apps.. i know its a generic fix but it should work.. by the way in further posts pls use quote tags around your scripts so that they are easier for others to read.. hope this helps ,, let us know if it does..
  8. lol i seen that on the news today god shes stupid lmao
  9. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no way i wont arguer over some thing so small.. all he has to do is open the command prompt by typing 1. cmd 2. type cd\test 3. mod your file,, and thats it this method works just fine.. so hakeem,, use what ever method you find easiest,, as for Achdine dont flame a post unless youve tried every possibility,, end of post
  10. @Achdine actually the command i gave for cd\test when used will definatly work on changing directory while in the command prompt,, and it is the easiest way to describt it,, for some one that is new
  11. yea make a folder and call it applications or something in the root of your cd and move your apps into that folder

  15. ok try this heres a easy mehod for you make you a folder in your c drive call it anything you want,, example C:\test place your file modifype.exe and any file you want to modifype in this folder now go to start and hit run type cmd then at the command prompt type cd\test that will switch you to the right folder that you want to be in then type modifype.exe whatever.exe -c then if done right it will give you a promt with no errors found, then just make a cab of the file if needed.. hope that helps
  16. for a easy way to do nero use ncab its pretty much cut and dry and fool proof, no way you could mess up http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=44603
  17. yes if its set up right id say put the wpi folder in the root of your cd, place the wpi.cmd in your system32 folder and call it the way i mentioned... note--- make sure in your wpi to call your progras from the %CDROM% instead of %systemdrive% if you want them to instal off the cd also to make sure your programs arnt copied over to the pc at the beginning of the setup process, place your programs in the root of your cd,,, example %CDROM%\Programs
  18. you could use a icon extractor like this http://www.gregorybraun.com/IconEx.html then you could convert the file to a jpg or png or even gif or any file type and resize it at the same time with this http://www.reasoft.com/products/reaconverter/ both programs can be used for a trial period hope this helps you out m8
  19. i prefer to run my instal off the disk because its faster because files arnt carried over to the pc then installed ,, the progs are installed off the disk,, if you like that use this method and i think astalivista has a easy thread to run wpi off cd,,
  20. @Yzöwl sweet thanks i didnt think to try those switches, thank you for pointing them out to me
  21. yea its not really a tweak pack but a way of simply click and create whats registry tweaks that you want,, you can find that here http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=49320
  22. ok do you want to run your apps from the cd or have the carried over to instal from the pc ? examples if your going to run it off the cd id put the wpi.cmd file in your system32 folder so its carried over to the pc and call to it from inside your winnt.sif file like this now if your going to have your files carried over from the cd to te pc for your instal id say have your files in the instal directory like this $OEM$\$1\Install and then call to your wpi.cmd file like this hope those examples help you out
  23. geesh bump,,, i realised i didnt have the folder premade,, grrr ,, sorry for this post
  24. hi all im not sure if most know how to do this but, let me tell you how my unattended disk is set up.. maybe it will give some ppl new some ideals on what they want to do with there unattended disk first off my disk is a dvd so i have lots of room to do this ok here goes 1 i like to start off by using nlite slim down my os on things i dont like 2., then use ryanvm's packs to patch all the updates. 3. place my hacked files, like notepad2, uxtheme , boot screen, logon, custom logo branding, custom setup screen(ntoskernal) and so forth 4, slip stream wmp 5, i added xpized icons 6 then i start to add wpi to the bunch to get my installs going (maybe 80 progs) 7 use mike wilsons tweak pack, plus a few other tweaks 8, added bashrats driver packs 9, setup all scripts to reroute the start menu, i hate messy things lol 10, setup all clean up scripts note i run everything off the dvd it self so faster install now to the kool parts of course i alter wpi to my liking recently ive added this icon/text style to my wpi http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=49114 i plan on adding a round java clock for a replacement to my wpi clock for more design later and possible the ability to play a few songs while i wait for the instal now heres what else i did,, since i like making sure all my programs are in one place and i dont want to instal them all at once i just want to instal the default ones that i use the most or what i need, i set my dvd/cd up so i have a custom autorun screen with a new button which allows me to put my disk back in the drive hit the instal programs button and it loads me right back into my wpi screen,, that way i can choose what i want when i need it,, pretty kool huh heres a look at my autorun setup screen http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=49378 heres where i got the ideal i read this post and altered it some to my liking. http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showto...69entry158969 well this most all of what i did to my unattended disk, i hope it gives any one new to this some ideals on what they can do...
