hi squeeto, well i know its possible to do but the resources are made for 2000, not xp. there are some minor changes in those. so its not recommended until i know what those changes are and if i can fix those. so let me know if you see anything out of order?! its good to see your back damian666

updated the first post with a link to the first beta of the pack using the XPize installer system. so please test it only in vm or something because the uninstaller does not work for all things. damian666

@ betaluva, well its like this. when you choose option 3, replacer starts to put back all your old files that are saved the first time you use the pack. so if you see replacer working, its oke. for a real uninstall, just restore your files and delete the pack from your harddisk. hope you get it now and if there is something else be sure to let me know. @kels yeah that is a fun thought, maybe i will put it in damian666

@ squeeto, thats because i have a dutch version. i didnt know how to call "Bureau-accessoires" in the other language. but consider it fixt! the runbox is just a try, i will make a nice one without the christmas theme! i already cut it down a mere 20 mb so trying to fix that to man. @ betaluva i made the icons 48 though, so thats maybe the vm? thanx for the feedback guys! i think its cool to see that people like it!!! damian666

hi squeeto, thanx for the answers you gave for me, i dont have internet at home so im not on all the time, only at work i know its a big download, but thats because the wallpapers and sounds are included. if its to big, let me know guys, and i will remove it from the pack to make it a seperate download. and any bugs or something, let me know! damian666

Vistapack 1.6.0 Supports both Windows 2000 and Windows XP. Description: The Vistapack was originally made with the same tech as XPize to transform your old and boring Windows 2000 rig in a modern looking and feeling OS. But when XP support started developing it got a whole new purpose: To transform your old and boring Windows 2000 and Windows XP rigs in a modern looking and feeling OS. Safety: It takes the files from the host, backs it up, modifies a sample and puts the modified file back in the system. This ensures that you are using the latest files so no need for alerts like "Now I am using an old file, what if its updated by m$? Then i will be open for attack..." Nope, no need to worry. You keep the updated file. The pack uses ResHacker to change icons, bitmaps and some dialogs, to make it look like the new Windows Vista! Its rather safe in my opinion, but of course there are some risks when you modify system files. This is at your own risk!!! But no need to worry, there are few bugs that cause your pc not to boot or something. Personally i did not had that happening here. hi squeeto, well that dialog is a problem with me too. when i check it it is there in the file, but it wont show??? i must look in to it more. for the english version, i will translate it all to english. try to make that progressbar bordered. and that i386 option is already there man, thats option 2. now i can even type in the path to the i386 folder so no more fixed place!!! you know today is the day that im going to release the first official version huh?! im now uploading it on rs and will then post in the xpize forum, because well, its basicly based on it so... well wish me luck. ps. i have made a little changelog for you, its in the prog's folder. bye bye damian666 link

nice job man, but maybe i wasnt all that clear. i made a cmd file to copy files from a I386 dir to a workmap and then i reshack it there and place it back. the files are in a text filke that the cmd checks to know what files to copy. but the thing is that everyone has another pc and drive letters and so on. so is it possible to make something that allows the user to fill in the path to the I386 dir so that the rest of my cmd can perform their task? i would really appriciate it and will surely name you at the credits when my project is finished!! best regards damian666 p.s. im a noob at this so please be patient!
