  1. That's why! Way too slow of a download speed for that web site. That site is GIGANTIC as far as how many megabytes it is sending you. Very bad coding! They don't even offer you the ability to select a lower video resolution.

  2. I completely agree that a DLL like this should have almost no dependencies because it is here just to decode, and I am sure that with the source it would not be so hard to make it compatible even with NT3.x/Win9x. An idea could be to write the jpeg-xl plugin yourself given that the reference encoder/decoder is opensource: https://github.com/libjxl/libjxl/ Not sure where to get the doc to make a plugin. Also it seems that the provided builds are *almost* XP compatible, so you can use cjxl.exe and djxl.exe command line programs just by changing the required OS value in the PE header (using a hex editor). Actually not exactly I get a crash when trying to decode the IMG_20200308_194050.jxl example file. I am sure that if you build it yourself, with a bit of tuneup, you will be able to get them working.

  3. What's your download speed? https://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/ I only get roughly 34 Mbps but that's kind of intentionally slowed down. I get closer to 240 Mbps on LAN but I feel that wireless is much more "secure" so I never connect via LAN.

  4. Kill the d@mn freakishly huge downloaded .mp4's for the top-of-page "shootout" banner and then the video plays without any buffering whatsoever. Watch your download megabytes when you visit that page, that page is GIGANTIC. Terrible coding! No reason in H#LL to need such freakishly gigantic .mp4 videos for the "shootout" banner at the top of the page.

  5. Your un-edited post did not have the "does not support WebGL" note. Maybe I should wait half an hour before doing any replies, lol.

  6. Maybe another device has to do the screen recording for you than your old Windows 98 computer. I did this once through plugging the Composite video output of my normal graphics card (ATI Rage something...) to my VHS player. And so the computer screen appeared in the television, ready to be recorded on tape. Probably you could set up a newer computer, being equipped with a good grahpics card that can recieve signals, recording the screen output for you. At least I can say that working VGA-to-HDMI adapters do exist, so if the signal should arrive at your recieving machine.

  8. Delete the "DcBrowser" folder (make a copy of it in a place you want, your extensions are there) located in the "C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\" path and run the browser again. I don't get those connections you say and maybe disabling extensions doesn't prevent them to connect to the internet. The only connections I get are internal plus a external connection made for the autocomplete service of the URL bar of the default search engine you selected. In this case the default search engine at the very first run is Google so a Google connection is expected. The cause is that in normal Chromium builds the New Tab page is located inside the "resources.pak" file, 360EE has the New Tab in an external file called "newtab.zip". New Tab extensions on 360EE won't work. This seems to be a SwiftShader thing, maybe manipulation the browser with flags could make the maps display but unfortunately I don't know which flags to use. If you go to "chrome://history" there is a "Clear browsing data" button at the top-right corner of the screen, I tested it and it cleared the history. Also, all browsers store history, 360EE does it as well.
