Any websites I can’t access on Windows XP Professional SP3 using New Moon, Serpent or Mypal are fair game for my Android tablet. It can gobble any modern rubbish.

But let’s be honest. That’s the case everywhere on the web these days. Google Chrome is the preferred choice, and a fairly recent version at that. So it’s nothing we wouldn’t have expected. And users actually go along with this nonsense.

@Dave-H Damn! Quick view of your Windows Update Log shows your Windows Update Agent is working correctly now. That's fine. Ok, which time server do you use for time synchronization? And is your computer part of a domain?

Hi, try looking for old Windows Update Packs for Windows XP and extract them. Maybe some of these updates are included. I have nearly all updates since Service Pack SP3 but only for German version of Windows XP. Some of your requested updates are very old so I don't think they are offered via Microsoft Update but. you can give it a try:

@Dave-H After performing all steps from post do the following steps: 13. Install Restore_WU_XP_2003 again. No reboot at this time. 14. Do following steps of Restore_WU_XP_2003's install.cmd manually: adding registry entries by importing via reg file if necessary and injecting wuaueng.dll in the case you find wrong version in folders system32 or system32\dllcache. 15. Reboot your computer. 16. Switch on ProxHTTPSProxy. 17. Try accessing MU again. 18. Post your Windows Update Log. Hope it will work at last.

@Dave-H And if that fails then is my final advice to do all steps described in my post once again. Doesn't matter if you did before or not. Do it and check all mentioned problems! I did so and now it is working perfectly.

@Dave-H No, you have to set back to year 2020 and only to generate in HTTPSProxy a new certificate valid until 2030.To let HTTPSProxy do that you have to delete the old one called HTTPSProxyCA.crt. After that you can turn back time to current date and time. I did often such manipulation without any serious problems. Believe me! And the best is manipulations of HTTPSProxy don't harm your ProxHTTPSProxy installation. You can try whatever you want.

@Dave-H How did you get the log file? Where is the log file located? I couldn't find anyone. And what is about turning back time to 2020 and letting HTTPSProxy generate a new one with duration of 10 years beginning at time of creation? Certs folder of HTTPSProxy must be cleared. Then we will know whether our guess is correct or not. And check your Trusted Zone. Trusted Zone to high with only these three urls related to MU: http://www.update.microsoft.com, https://www.update.microsoft.com and http://update.microsoft.com.
