  1. I made some wrappers in C and managed to port some XP browsers to vanilla windows 2000 I got new moon and Mypal78 working, i made a patch guide if you want to try using my wrappers for other XP UXP based browsers on Windows 2000 https://w7revived.chefkiss.dev/NewMoon_W2K_20260314.7z https://w7revived.chefkiss.dev/Mypal78_W2K.7z Here are the wrappers and the patch guide https://w7revived.chefkiss.dev/WrappersWindows2000.zip https://w7revived.chefkiss.dev/UXPPatchGuide_W2K.txt

  2. I do. And you seem to be exaggerating it a tad. It's really NOT worth bringing up again. It's all over. feodor *and* roytam are STILL STANDING. And the person behind the DRAMA has been removed from the dev team. TIME TO MOVE ON. That saga has been OVER for a VERY long time. There really is NO NEED to rehash ANY of it.

  3. You can easily fix registry mistakes by booting into Hiren's Boot CD (15.2); in "Registry" there is Registry Editor PE. Works well.

  4. What's done is done. As I recall it, an upstream developer tried to shut down feodor *and* roytam. roytam stood his ground (ie, ignored the chatter), feodor pulled repo on account of language barrier (my interpretation of chatter at the time). Developer got kicked off the team. roytam and feodor STILL STANDING STRONG.

  6. Thanks for testing of mutated vowel "ä"! Although German people try to avoid mutated vowels in paths and in urls, it's good to know that my program works with it. Glad to have you as my beta tester! Thanks so far! Cheers, AstroSkipper

  7. I totally agree! I do never store passwords in any browsers, but for me there is a significant difference between an European build and Russian or Chinese build of a browser due to telemetry, security, sense of justice, influence of goverment, political motivation ... and therefore trust in such creators.

  8. I do think so too but last not least it's a question of confidence, of course! I usually store passwords in Keepass and use an addon to access them. All passwords in one place. For me simply great.

  9. I would never store any passwords in a browser of Russian or Chinese origin. Therefore 360Chrome is fully portable for me!

  10. In 1986 my first personal computer with the 8088 cpu had only 640 KB RAM too. No harddisk, only two 5.25 floppy devices.

  11. That's right. I am a bit old school and I love my old computer. RAM can't be extended anymore and therefore I prefer browsers with less RAM consumption. V11 is the best choice for me too.

  12. For inserting links I'll use my computer instead of my tablet next time. Especially at the end of a sentence! And by the way, missing my mouse all the time! Truth be told I prefer totally the "old school" way of life.

  13. Thanks for your hint! It's a problem I have very often when writing posts on MSFN using my tablet. The line of a link grabs the dot at its end. But when pasting a link, we all know, at the end of a link there isn't a dot in any case! Anyway, MSFN in combination with my tablet is a "dot grabbing monster"! PS: I've corrected it, of course.
