Yes! The flags have updated themselves to reflect the real location. So now we all know Tommy is from Canada. How far from me is still unknown though.3 points

My main reason for going to 126 was that my understanding is that it's an ESR version, which will hopefully not actually need to be updated due to site compatibility issues until sometime next year. I will only update it if a new facility that I really want is added, or a really major serious security flaw is patched.1 point

When the CSS code for animations and transitions is active, you can't close some popups on MSFN. For example, the popup to see your recent notifications.1 point

Unable to replicate. ebayimg.map doesn't show up in any of my logs even when visiting https://www.ebay.de/itm/186679189985 incognito. Perhaps, eBay is once again using German eBay customers as guinea pigs for layout experiments. Comparable to laboratory rats. The eBay websites have become worse and worse in recent years. It used to be much, much better.1 point

This is the deactivated filter: ! https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uAssets/issues/25247 ! ||www.ebay.$removeparam=_trksid But enabling this filter could lead to the reported problem: "Add to Watchlist" does not work .Anyway! This must be created under My rules in uBO to clean up the link completely: ||www.ebay.$removeparam=_trksid ||www.ebay.$removeparam=itmprp ||www.ebay.$removeparam=itmmeta1 point

I just quoted the original link which worked much better some weeks ago. FYI, I always use uBlock Origin Legacy for filtering web content in New Moon 28. And in Mypal 68, uBlock Origin. And a few user scripts.1 point

Thanks for your suggestion! I'll try it out later on my Windows XP computer. Since Stylus no longer works in Mypal 68, and Stylish is no longer installed in New Moon 28, I will try to inject the code into the eBay pages via the userContent.css file.1 point

Then try, for example, this link in New Moon 28 and have fun : https://www.ebay.de/itm/186679189985?_trksid=p4247815.c101875.m1851&itmprp=cksum%3A1866791899851d87f28e6f894355904105bfee689f19|enc%3AAQAJAAABgEnLatTXWXNAKPRnYtxVTXN2rJD11TMrqd%2Bc4NcqE%2BNGk6ejyqiKoKTZm%2BWiG7rLUKnmQT96yLmgza78VpCainYj%2Fcd7BbF%2F3JO7HSXt2n3iFYDbns8rSMT0idXbcmlMHWKniLK2o5tYYPmM8KWpVo95tWt2nTiQXMqmKRIMl5gAplMB1Ggx6kVqfXRetLAgGAr8tj3qIQFVusM3w2%2FTbqJcbms5AWlMLjBh33IT1VukCGrNibKsT%2F0qkwEeKrJ%2BqRhZKo%2F7BwNoK%2FJG9Di5oc8nbRdyqLnSmvEepcz27hw1plzGYkK3M%2FLS204Xl8d%2B%2BtIjQvpPKMqk7tOaYfRxOxqTc3Phjio2VBw5s0TdzIIxxR%2BteWen1ewuCZGgHTJtZr6usyBSJzML5fV2jMBQPa7DWTgyDixtoE50pm%2FEDlHegBefzvpwr4gPu1TxWSReqif%2BmyZ7w1jSjGESSDRCREZYTF84m9YVByxPQYOWWIrye4jSHSDhla3R%2B%2FoekGKQpA%3D%3D|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A4247815&itmmeta=01J7YM3GS0ANMV3XSRX87J8ZNZ1 point

The performance was bearable some weeks ago. I assume it is more CSS related. It seems to be a problem with images. If images are disabled by uBO on eBay, the CPU utilisation becomes normal again. BTW, there is a new, images related url in the uBO popup on eBay. Something with "fast". Apart from that, a faster CPU doesn't make the pictures any smaller on eBay in New Moon 28 or Mypal 68. Anyway! This is probably another modern, bells and whistles improvement from eBay for the bin. P.S.: The new, images related URL in the uBO popup on eBay is ebayimg.map.fastly.net.1 point
-
Here are two screenshots taken from an article on eBay (Germany) in New Moon 28: All images are now much bigger than before. And CPU utilisation remains permanently at 100%.1 point

I do not get this attitude, seriously. You act like we all collectively p***ed in your porridge or something, when we ask about some features being changed or missing. If the thread is such a garbage dump, whatever that means to you, you can chose not to answer. But instead of you act bitter and make people who actually paid for your software and who ask actual questions in regards to it, feel like they wronged you in some way. Silly attitude, in my humble opinion. The same with deleting posts just because you don't like the questions. Not to mention the double standards, the entire software is about modifying the start menu, taskbar and some other features, but somehow, when some people ask for some features that were present, they are told said feature "breaks functionality" or changed functionality, well doooh, that's the purpose of the software. Yet some other requests are implemented, those apparently do not break functionality and do not modify functionality. You could simply say you do the software as you like, which is fair, in which case, put it in the rules and that's it, no requests, only report bugs. So many ways to make this happen without the p*** poor attitude. Nobody forced you to open this garbage dump thread, nobody forced you to offer support anywhere but on the official email or whatever.1 point

Google lens translates it as you need to pay them a fee of 400 Rupees each month for the "better video quality". Now, would you be severely punished (as many others already have) for saying that software is Russian, I wonder?! The local supervisor explicitly forbids to talk about Russia on this forum, which is of course strange, very strange,. I read it in several topics already, including the Yandex phone topic.1 point

Of course, Avast Premier's self-protection was deactivated before I started the uninstall routine. Everyone who wants to completely remove an AV programme that has such a self-protection function should know this. But that did not help at all. It was the same with Eset NOD32 Antivirus in the past. The uninstall routine of Avast 18.8 was inadequately programmed and therefore rubbish. And AvastClear 18.8 is not much better. The way I described in the article "Why I switched from Avast! to WiseVector StopX" I quoted above, on the other hand, worked excellently, but is not readily accessible and recommended for an inexperienced user. PS: The reader should not be confused by the title of my article. In the meanwhile, WiseVector StopX has been abandoned by the manufacturer and is therefore history.1 point

I ditto this. Browser's were never meant to be used this way. And neither was your own brain, as far as that goes. An exceprt from https://www.howtogeek.com/773721/listen-you-dont-need-that-many-browser-tabs-open/ People tend to think that they’re “good” at multitasking if they’re able to perform multiple tasks at once. However, that isn’t taking into account a very important part of it — are they performing those tasks well? Multitasking is a big reason why people keep so many tabs open, but it can have the opposite effect. Too many tabs can create information overload. The constant switching between tabs can lead to short attention spans. All of this trains your brain in a way that makes working efficiently more difficult in the future. Studies have backed this up as well. Some studies have found that heavy multitasking can cause you to perform worse on cognitive tests. One study ran MRI scans on the brains of multitaskers and found they had less brain density in areas that controlled empathy and emotions. That’s, uh, not good. Doing multiple tasks at once doesn’t make you more productive. You’re just splitting your attention and every time you switch tabs you lose concentration. Stick to one task at a time, complete the task, and then close the tabs and move on to the next thing. Your brain will thank you.1 point

I second that, @roytam1 However, as I am heavily reliant on GitHub, I was sort of miffed that GH still doesn't work in latest St55 (32-bit) with the latest release (v1.2.17) of gh-wc-pf force-installed; in the not-so-distant-past, GH used to (mainly) work in St55, but, as said, M$ threw at it many recent JS "baddies" that eventually broke it completely ... I understand St55 is under a monthly release schedule, how far do you reckon we are from a working GH implementation (of course, with the aid of gh-wc-pf) ? Thanks for all you do for us, "greedy" users of your browsers!1 point
