  1. I have been extremely ill for the past two days, and there is more to the extended kernel than issues with the user mode part of a driver (either that, or there are deficiencies in the DirectX graphics kernel which are causing this). We are already dealing with the nightmare that is the NVIDIA 39x drivers, where it seems that success is very random, as many users are already booting up to the "orb" and getting stuck on it.

  2. @VistaLover, @Mathwiz, @NotHereToPlayGames, @anton12! Thank you all for your investigations, advices, and tips! Yesterday I only had a little time. I just wanted to book cinema tickets quickly, and that was more of an odyssey on my old computer. Maybe, it was my own stupidity, I could have used my Android tablet directly. BTW, the movie "Top Gun - Maverick" was simply great! At home again, I opened the problematic website www.uci-kinowelt.de in Serpent 52 (2022-09-10), and it worked perfectly with a very fast and successful security check for my slow computer without any annoying captcha. That surprised me. Next, I opened it with a new profile in New Moon 28 (2022-09-10), and suddenly, what can I say, it worked there, too. Thanks @VistaLover and @anton12 for your confirmation! In both cases, palefill 1.20 was installed. I still have to investigate why the security check cannot be completed successfully in my main profile of NM 28. Unfortunately, the 360Chrome browsers were no help in this case. I can say one thing with all clarity: I abysmally hate these sites with a so-called security check. Cheers, AstroSkipper

  3. Same here. Very sad to see that the crappy, spying, crashing, bloated, FisherPrice-looking, user-unfriendly Windows 10 is being promoted by MS guys, who know the power users who used and loved Windows 2000, XP, Vista etc.etc. and still use it to this day. I hate its mobile first approach I'm planning to use Windows Vista and 7 and 8.x till atleast 2023, when full support for the three ends (Vista ESU, 7 ESU, 8.0 Server 2012 updates and 8.1 direct updates). Also, if I can use them for longer, I will certainly do so until either my hardware can't keep up or when these OSes become completely obsolete, and seeing as there are many wise members here at MSFN dedicated to keeping legacy Windows versions alive, that moment is set to come only long after, in the very far future. Also, I'm going to completely move to Linux when Windows Vista, 7 and 8 become obsolete and am never going to bother with Microsoft from that moment. If you've liked what I said, please do upvote. No compulsion intended though.
