  1. This type of tactic is gonna force people to upgrade all computer and devices just to fatten the pockets of the greedy giants. I'll go back to a flip phone before I keep flushing my hard-earned money down the drain. This generation needs to learn what boycott means.

  3. Nah, it's new. Just released today or yesterday, so there's no way you could have spotted it last week -- unless you're a MS test engineer. So, you got it, and you can pat yourself on the back for posting here about it. I'd do it myself if I were capable, but reaching from San Francisco to Poland takes a bigger arm than I've got! But thanks!

  4. We'll always be here for you, Roffen. I'm 56, and Win 10 is a pain to me, too. "This PC" is the new incarnation of "My Computer", as if changing the name of it would "make it new"... I guess this thread elsewhere will be of help for you, just as it was for me: https://superuser.com/questions/972149/hotkey-for-this-pc BTW, if I reach your age with my mind half as sharp as yours is right now, I'll sure give the Lord neverending thanks for that. Being a speaker of English as a second language, like yourself, just reading your English text makes me sure your "logical processors" are operating great, at this very moment.

  5. Well, Brave already used Chrome's rendering engine earlier, so it's not like they're suddenly switching to it now. As for Firefox, we can only hope that they will resist as long as it's possible, otherwise more and more sites will only be tested under Chrome which means that PM may become more and more incompatible with various websites (obviously this doesn't have to happen but we never know, maybe MC will make his own chrome browser one day and give up on PM/Basilisk since it no longer will be worth to maintain them).

  6. Okay, so updates for this month seem to be: KB4471325 - Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows Server 2008 KB4471319 - Security Only Quality Update for Windows Server 2008 KB4471990 - Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, 4.5.2, 4.6 (and 4.6.1) for Windows Server 2008 SP2 KB4470640 - Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.6 (and 4.6.1) for Windows Server 2008 SP2 KB4470637 - Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 4.5.2 for Windows Server 2008 SP2 KB4471102 - Security and Quality Rollup for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 for Windows Server 2008 SP2 KB4471984 - Security Only Update for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, 4.5.2, 4.6 (and 4.6.1) for Windows Server 2008 KB4470500 - Security Only Update for .NET Framework 4.6 (and 4.6.1) for Windows Server 2008 KB4470493 - Security Only Update for .NET Framework 4.5.2 for Windows Server 2008 KB4470633 - Security Only Update for .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 for Windows Server 2008 KB4470199 - Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 9 for Windows Server 2008 I think that's all of them, and seems they have decided to make 2 more .NET rollups in case people want either only updates for 3.5 or only for later ones? Or did I just unnecessarily post too many updates? Also, as usual, it's better if you wait at least a week before installing them, we never know what MS might have messed up in any of the updates this time. And I hope Mike won't be mad at me for stealing his job this 1 time lol.

  7. "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire CPU warming when you are cold... Windows Update running with the shield and localised updates even for the Eskimos... Everybody knows, .NET Framework and a few patch more help to make the season bright. Tiny patches, with their green check-marks all aglow will be deployed within tonight" (I just got into Christmas Mode xD)
