Does someone know a registry editor that can 'seek and destroy' reg keys, I would like to find them and delete them automatically.

regedit & Ctrl + F to find them, Del to do the rest

or if you know the key then put a - before

e.g

[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Command]

becomes

[-HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\shell\Command]

Google search for "Registry Finder 1.0". It will delete all keys related to a program/supplier at the same time. Works great like when changing printers from one brand to another. $20.00 for a key.

Nice I am already using some NirSoft utilities but I overlooked that one

RegSeeker (freeware) has a Find feature, and so does jv16 PowerTools.

Won't good ol' REG.EXE be enough?

Registry Crawler is an awesome program - Its multi-threaded, so it can search millions of keys in just a few seconds!

Once the search is done, you can do various tasks on it, like find within the search, search and replace so and so in so and so keys, delete, edit, export.

It's the fastest Registry finder I've ever used.
