March 4, 200719 yr Hi all, here's just a short question from me:is there any possibility to install apps which need 2000 or higher?ThxSeppl
March 4, 200719 yr depends on what sort of app it issome apps can be fooledmsi files be done easilyothers can notgo to the kernel update thread that could help you
March 4, 200719 yr Some apps don't really require XP, just their installers do. Some apps don't even really require installation. But as awergh said, it depends on the software product. Edited March 4, 200719 yr by j7n
March 16, 200719 yr msi files be done easilyhow, awergh?try beta testing firefox 3.0 alpha 2 (or gran paradiso alpha 2)-http://download.mozilla.org/?product=granp...〈=en-USMozilla says FF 3.0 a2 requires Win2000/XP. try running this on a Win98/ME system and see what you get.
March 19, 200719 yr msi files can be edited by ocha 2 easily to remove version checkers but this does not mean they will work
March 22, 200719 yr ABBYY FineReader 8 installer (.msi file) can be edited with Orca and then installed on Win98.
March 22, 200719 yr I don't think Orca itself runs under the 9x platform. Msis can be extracted easily with a command line tool called msix
