Ok thanks, will try again. What does this removal of Component cache mean functionally. Windows Vista asking for the DVD if a file needs to be restored?

Didn't ask me anything during testing. You mean when file deleted, like File Protection? If full one restores on delete then it would be nice to know. It's not like I had this version much longer than you do, just look at the release dates :)

Confirmed, winsxs directory is down to 90MB with less than 5000 files.

It doesn't run @ Vista Ultimate Dutch here.

It seems that by removing something I broke Windows Update. No updates install at all.
