Multi-frontend: A gui that uses audio codecs for conversion from one format to the other. Lossy, lossless and some exotic formats are supported:

And also for: MP3Gain, ReplayGain for MusePack, VorbisGain, WaveGain and Tag.

That's nice. But its not really independent. You need to install 10s of megabytes of codecs to make it run.

I can add dBpoweramp to that list then also.
