Is serv-u the best program to make a ftp server, is there any better? Thanks

I used to use serve-u and it still is a good program, however it cost money to use it and filezilla works just as good if not better and it is free..

If you have a valid copy of serve-u then I would just use that though... no sense in wasting money. They are both equally good to me.

you can only log in on the LAN IP RANGE on the name@LAN

but anyone whos got an account on the normal FTP host can log in

i like server u, its easy to use and you can have multiple setups, but most of all id say for novices its one of the best ways to go because of its ease of use in setup
