ramcrash Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Is serv-u the best program to make a ftp server, is there any better? Thanks
chilifrei64 Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 I used to use serve-u and it still is a good program, however it cost money to use it and filezilla works just as good if not better and it is free..If you have a valid copy of serve-u then I would just use that though... no sense in wasting money. They are both equally good to me.
ZcWorld Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 i like G6 FTP serverif you want to have more than one FTP site on the same box than you can like we use our FTP site and a local FTP site on the same boxyou can only log in on the LAN IP RANGE on the name@LANbut anyone whos got an account on the normal FTP host can log in
Lost Soul Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 i like server u, its easy to use and you can have multiple setups, but most of all id say for novices its one of the best ways to go because of its ease of use in setup
