whats the best audio splitter?

i don't know of any stupid easy or free programs...theres adobe audition, cool edit pro, theres also a program for mac called protools, but i've never used it or seen it before. they're not hard to use, but they arent free to my knowledge.

you could run a feed back into your computer and use the recording mixer, but thats really hard.

im looking for a small and easy to use audio splitter.any idea?

I personally use Goldwave, it may not be as "small" as you'd like. But its very feature rich and can split MP3's and anything else with ease, plus much much more.

no not exactly.i need a cutter.i wanna cut songs from a mp3 file and save them as a simple individual mp3 file.
Audacity can do that and a lot more, it's a general-purpose audio editor.

But mp3DirectCut can automatically split the mp3 into individual tracks by detecting the gaps (silence) between tracks, and it does it non-destructively. However, it works best on CBR files. If you have a VBR, run it through mp3packer first to convert it to a constant bitrate mp3.
