Updated June 9, 2006

A new redistributable containing the June 2006 DirectX for Managed Code Update was released June 8th.

Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtimes (June 2006) Full Download

Direct Redist Download Link (from Microsoft)

Download DX Package from FileHippo.com

Edit: Whoops, false alarm! There is no new d3dx9 CAB file this time. Only a(n) XACT update.

Why not get it right off betanews? They seem to mirror all that stuff anyway without requiring authentication.

Man...I wonder what kind of download servers they have - their fileforum is huge!

Too bad, only english version. :(

I'll have to wait a bit.

Thanks anyway.

Thanks for the additional info that you had in your post, but I don't think it is appropriate in this forum. Please don't be a loose cannon.

I thought we had come to the conclusion that these bi-monthly DX updates were for devs and mostly useless to end users...

Yes, they are mostly useless for end users. Apparently, Microsoft updates DirectX every two months.

The only people that really benefit are gamers who must use those updated modules/files.

You probably noticed MS updated "DirectX for managed code".

AFAIK Avalon (vista's UI) will be written in managed code/C#.

IMHO these releases are public "betas" and MS probably wants user feedback.

But these releases also includes some security updates.

The thing I can't understand is all those d3dx9_**.dll

They never show in dxdiag but are in SYSTEM32 (even when installed normally after setup) and are all 2,20MB+/-10KB.

PS: hfslip echoes Dx integration is only for 2k; it should also states XP is OK. ;)

I've seen that a couple of weeks ago but forgot all about it. Thanks.
