August 9th of 2004 I registered as MSFN user and started to share my best-known project to date: XPize.

Hi all! Im new here. Im Spanish so sorry for my spelling.

Well, I want to completely Xpize Windows XP because, as you know, some XP icons are still in 2000/98/ME format. I dont like this, so I started to modify some system files such as shell32.dll and zipfldr.dll in order to change some "old" icons.

My first post @ MSFN

Let's take a mini-tour of XPize evolution:

The Beginnings:

XPize 2.5:

XPize 3.x:

In the meantime, XPize uAE was born as the perfect tool for applying XPize touch both silently or using direct i386 integration.

I am very happy with the acceptance XPize has had throughout all this time, from starting as a project for personal use only to even reaching Microsoft doors.

I would like to thank all the people who has colaborated in many ways to the growth of XPize: testers, users sending feedback, mirrorers...but my special thanks go to:

flyakite, kalavera, SyMoNsAyS, MartinL, Werewolf, nuhi, xper, Dutchdre and klasa (sure I'm forgetting someone else :P )

Let's continue the feast with XPize 4 and XPize uAE 2 :)

Hope, after finishing XPize you won't lose your enthusiasm and point it on something not less beautiful and useful :)

Happy birthday XPize.

I have used it from the begining and I think this is how Windows XP should have looked when released.

Thanks everyone that have made this project to what it is. I'm looking forward for XPize 4.
