hrznblack
i hope so, depending on the view of the folder, like with big images view, the pixels get so big you can count them

hrznblack
it doesn't seem to be so, well, at least not all the time, sometimes it does that, sometimes it shrinks the icon to 100% size and sometimes it blurs it up to make it smooth.

egrath
Hi,Vector Icons are Graphics which are not Pixel based like the current one's they are based on the definition of points which are connected through a line (simple spoken). You can scale a vector based image to as small and as big as you want because it's rendered new every time you see it.Bye, Egon Edited July 30, 2005 by egrath
harunaksoy
Don't know if that is good, you can't get the same results with vector graphics that you do with pixels.
muggerfugger
i think it must be a bug that makes the desktop icons so huge. I reporteed iteven if you go into the display options and check and uncheck "show large icons" it's still there.i think this OS is designed for higher resolutions also. Aegis
Don't know if that is good, you can't get the same results with vector graphics that you do with pixels.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>If you use icons like CrystalSVG, then you know that vector icons aren't that bad. It's just a matter of how good you are in Illustrator.

SiMoNsAyS
god i hope so... i wonder what we would use as an editor and what format they would be...<{POST_SNAPBACK}>that's quite important, meaning from now on we'd forget about .ico format
raskren
Rumor has it they'll be XAML based which can be a vector markup language among other things. We should also see some very nice true 3d animations, shading, reflection and blurring - all vector based. This is just rumor and is subject to change.Everything in Beta 1 is raster at this point.
