  1. i think it has to do with the chipset drivers and the video card drivers. i had to mess with those for 5 hours, but mine runs it really smooth now. at first it was really choppy though.
  2. i have a radeon 9800, and i use catalyst 5.7 you just need to set it up manualy by upgrading the drivers, and choosing the file from the disk. you should even be able to play most games after doing that
  3. i tried it again, and instead of 3 hours, it took 45 minutes, on an p3 800mhz with 640 mb. it's weird that the p4 took so much longer.
  4. it's took me 3 hours for that part and i have a 2.4ghz and 512mb
  5. it doesn't seem to be so, well, at least not all the time, sometimes it does that, sometimes it shrinks the icon to 100% size and sometimes it blurs it up to make it smooth.
  6. i hope so, depending on the view of the folder, like with big images view, the pixels get so big you can count them
  7. it worked fine once i got the drivers for my wireless card installed edit: actually, i just checked again, and i was mistaken, only the other comps can see me, i have to type in the bar to access the other comps and it doesn't work really good. edit #2: got it working, the only thing is i can't access the comp with vista on it from other ones cause it's asking for passwords and user names, but i have access to the others. you just need to set a folder as shared.
  8. anyone else has problem with the menu taking a couple of minutes to add newly installed programs to the list?
  9. i have starwars battlefront that works, winrar, azareus, maya, 3dmark2005, manged to get the ati control panel working too
  10. i'm able to send files to other comps and to see them.
  11. that's exactly what i did, and it works fine, allthough the boot menu is a piece of junk
  12. same problem for me, i had to connect my hard drives to the normal ata100 on my motherboard.
  13. you need LDDM drivers to have transparency i think. i had to switch to xp drivers for my video card so i can play games and i lost the transparency
