I'm just thinking of making a boot screen with my company's logo and deploy system w/ them instead of the boring windows.... Since it's a company i need to make sure it is legal to do so. can some one confirm this?

Yeah I would think any binary files modified without the parent company in this case MS's express authorization would be illegal. If you talk to MS and their reps say yes it is ok...then I am sure it is not a problem.

for what i've understood, modifying files for your personal use is not illegal.

always as long as you don't share your knowledge or modified files.

ps: ... leave regedit out of this lol

I use /NOGUIBOOT in boot.ini. Is there a way to add this to the boot.ini not manually? Or, to replace /FASTDETECT with /NOGUIBOOT? I read somewhere removing /FASTDETECT would improve boot speed. Thanks
