Carmon Posted September 4, 2003 Posted September 4, 2003 Dats it Chris just nod and pretented u know wat they mean u b accepted if u do lol
valkyre Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 What about its CPU/RAM useage ?Windowblinds 4 only uses 2MB RAM. The default msstyles engine that is built into Windows XP takes up twice as much RAM.I just turn off themes and use Windows Classic. Feels more native.
b0r3d Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 I was asking, becuase i konw that previous version of Windowblinds would soak up about 10 times that amount of Ram. Im not ready to comprimise the look of my desktop for system performance so Thanks Ill download it
crowman Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 Here is mine I have been using it for ages now http://www.mbforums.org/crowman/NewDesktop.jpg
WildKat Posted September 6, 2003 Posted September 6, 2003 what software is that to tell you your stats that you have on the side..?
b0r3d Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Could you post me the script to show your NIC usage please?
[PseudoKiller] Posted September 7, 2003 Posted September 7, 2003 Ok.. for those who didnt understand by the term 'footprint' this is the definition. When an application is running it runs in RAM and since you are physically limited by how much RAM you have you want the applications you run to use as little as possible. WindowBlinds ( I was incorrect before, my other system WB has a footprint of 417k ) but as you can tell in the image included you will see WindowBlinds has a 2.7meg footprint. Not the worst and not the best but a good trade off IMO.
