Change Opera Icon

I use opera and would like to change the icon. only problem is that the exe is compressed and i cant find the exe decompressor to uncompress it. any ideas? maybe it does with rundll32.exe, zip.dll?

There are all sorts of icon extractor programs but I guess

all of them, like ResHacker, will have the same problem

with the Opera.exe icon?

If Windows can show it then whats the problem?

I mean WTF is a "compressed EXE"??? If Windows can handle

it (it can show the icon) but ResHacker can't? Thats just idiotic!

You can use a hex editor. Copy + Paste. The icon should be somewhere near the end of the file.

If you want to change only the opera icon displayed when opened not the exe itself:

1- Enter Opera:config in your opera

2- Click UserPrefs

3- Scroll to Application Icon property

4- Now type the custom icon url

Restart Opera.
