i hav a wgr614 router. i just downloaded the firmware and wanted to change the default password and username from admin and password to something else. is it possible thru hex edit or anything? i tried to see if it existed in the firmware file, but it didnt.

im using win2k3 and i install a lot of software. the problem is that many of them is locked for one OS. to check the OS version, they look at the Windows NT\current version and control\productoptions keys. if you modify these keys, windows detects it and wont boot. is there any way I can modify it so i can fake that its a xp sp2?

ok so i just bought a new flash drive and placed my windows install into it. my mobo supports booting from it, but when i boot it, it says that my boot.ini is invalid. the problem is the multi(0)disk(1)rdisk(0)partition(1) part. i know wat they are for hard drives, but wat about flash drives? tia.

is there is a tweak in the registry to overclock at startup a nvidia card without the control panel?

I use opera and would like to change the icon. only problem is that the exe is compressed and i cant find the exe decompressor to uncompress it. any ideas? maybe it does with rundll32.exe, zip.dll?

i flashed the bootblock also, i think. not sure though.

My computer cant boot from anything, so MSI's method doesnt work.

I havent posted back not because i dont find the information helpful, but because its kinda hard to access the internet with a broken BIOS. I know that replacing the BIOS is an option, but i really dont want to do that. I dont know whats a bootblock, so could someone please explain? My mobo is a MS-6390(Microstar). I was hoping that theres a tool to reflash the bios externally. thanks for all the help thus far.

Can someone lend me a hand here? I accidently flashed my BIOS with a file from another manufacturer and now my system won't boot. The system just starts up and shuts down a second later. I can't reflash it because i cant boot from anything or see anything. Please help, tia.
