prathapml Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 If you do not have this suite on your uA, then you are missing a lot.psTools from sysInternals
un4given1 Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Yes, awesome tools. Most of the tools on SysInternals are awesome. Regmon and Filemon (no, they are not Digimon names... hehe) are both invaluable tools as well.

clavicle Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 @prathapmlGreat tools indeed. I have been using psservice and psshutdown for sometimes now. Makes life much easier on screen.

prathapml Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 I was thinking if somebody could make a little program that auto download these program and make a new SFX.Or i can provide mind. Which could be outdated.....huh? what are you talking? Its all free and it takes 10 seconds to download and get it all in one place.Just wishing ERD Commander 2005 (winternals) was a freeware.
gunsmokingman Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 Those Look Like Nice Tools, Thanks I ll try them laterHere a cmd that will log off with out the logoff dialog boxThis cmd works fater than the regular way to log off.echo off && cls && mode 55,3 && color 5e && Title Log Off Windowsstart /w logoff.exe
prathapml Posted April 10, 2005 Author Posted April 10, 2005 @allAlso check out Process Explorer. Its good for tracking changes while creating your uA installs. Its also great for snooping around. It shows what processes are running, open files, TCP/IP info, etc.For example, if you are chatting with someone on messenger, then you can find out his IP address. One hell of a lot powerful utility.
buletov Posted April 10, 2005 Posted April 10, 2005 whey, just tried Process Explorer and it kicks a**!thanx prathapml...
totoymola Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 no, they are not Digimon names... hehe)<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Hahahahahaha!! Yes these are wonderful tools. I have all of them in my UA. I use Filemon and Regmon for monitoring software registration, but it's not easy because they record every single activity on your computer. There is a trick on viewing the log files in Excel so you can sort the entries, but I don't know how to do it.
prathapml Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 @totoymolaThey have commercial tools for that. Winternals Administrator's Pak 5 has full-featured versions of those tools, and has abilities to filter the logs by parameters.
iwod Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 I honestly think that it take more than 10 sec to download all Sysinternal tools, Put them in directory and Make a Shortcut for them.Anyway looks like Filemon and regmon is going to merge soon.
totoymola Posted April 11, 2005 Posted April 11, 2005 prathapml, Winternals Administrator's Pak is so **** expensive for me.. A poor kid like me can't afford it. Regmon and Filemon are really useful. But if you try to monitor something on a computer with antivirus, spysweeper, etc installed, you will get hundred (or even thousands) useless entries.
