OK, I came across this on another board (OSNN.net) and thought it was worth a chuckle. Hitachi has found a new way of lining up the bits on a HD to allow for about 10x the capacity of a normal drive. They made a funny little cartoon about it. Here it is...

Did you know that its not actually new technology? its a pretty old trick, used to be used on tape based media and other forms of magnetic storage.

Going to be interesting seeing these new drives on the market eventually though
