amardeepsingh
i dont know whether it has been already discussed or notbut i have found a new way of playing songs at unattended installation stagethere is a software called mp3 to exe Google search linkhttp://www.google.com/search?q=mp3 to exe downloadDirect download linkftp://gatekeeper.dec.com/pub/micro/pc/sim...nv/mp3exe26.zipthen convert the song u want to play into exeall setput the entry into the batch file or whereever , from where you want to play the songupon finish the song (the exe ) will automatically close so no need to use any taskkill though u can use it if the song is of longer duration and your installation process completes before the song's timeoutput these entries in the batch fileECHO.ECHO Starting Songstart %systemdrive%\install\song.exehope u all will like my suggestionpost comments
totoymola
Nice. I didn't know that this is possible. This is good for simple autoruns, and for customized installers. Thank you for bringing this up.

clavicle
Nice program! I was thinking of such a program to notify me of complete installation of windows. It helps in putting a mp3-exe entry in runonce to announce the end of (unattended) installation. Great!

Cartoonite
Just a thought: has anyone tried converting the mp3s to exe files on a Win 9x/NT system and then running the exe on an XP system? With virtual PC software such as VPC or VMware I wouldn't think it would be too difficult to get a system up and running quickly with one of the older systems to try it out... amp_man
hmm, haven't had a chance to try cartoonite's idea (testing my Ua cd now), but if anyone's feeling rich, you might wanna give this a shot. warning tho, it's $30!
