ya ya search.. spent half the day doing that already, all i need to know is how to make transparent bitmaps, and why when i test my oem.ini and oemlogo.bmp it does not show in sys properties after i copy them to my system32 folder..

i used the directions from

http://unattended.msfn.org/advanced/cosmetics/oeminfo.htm

i made my logo in photoshop but it wont let me save bitmaps with transparent backrounds..

isn't making it transparent as simple is setting the 0,0 and the far bottom-right pixel to FF00FF ? Then just use that color for whatever you want to be transparent.

Hi, im trying to do this atm, but its not going transparent.

Im going by Allanols, and SiMonSaYs idea of the 0,0 px and opposite corner colour being the ones representing the transparent colour and saving as 32bit bitmap.

Anyone have ago for me? or tell me what i need to do?

@Alanoll, 0,0 pixel and the last pixel f.e. 150x150 have to be of the same color to be transparent. it also needs to be saved as 256 colors.

edit: if you want the image to be 32bits you'll need to create a new alpha layer. search google for tutorials.
