I Love AutoIT

Featured Replies

since i discovered this program here at MSFN, i am obsessed. i find myself writing scripts to play jokes on fellow employees. there's not a more great way to waste company time!

does anyone else have cool scripts they wrote besides installers?

My head hurts trying to figure that program out.

Wish I was yew and knew what I was doing with it.

This post was questioning the response by Astalavista, but

it has been decided that he's just out to cause trouble, and this post

has been edited to prevent flammable material.

So let's all just sing us a song and get along and do the

goofy goober dance! :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Really are u guys getting married... love in the air...

..... .....

Thanks aresgodofwar!

That's a very generous offer, but I'm going to pass on that one.

I'm so impressed that you even offered! That really is very kind of you!

Maybe you could post a guide here with a few of your favorite tricks you have for AutoIT or even a beginner guide? That way everyone wins and if I still can't understand it, I can figure it out at my slower pace. Instead of feeling guilty because I got you live and am a bad student. :)

Again, the offer itself is golden and very much apperciated.

Cheers

Hey! That was a funny pun!!!

@www2000

Can't see what you did to make anyone upset. AutoIT is a nice program (even though some guys around here go nuts when anyone mentions it). If you want to use it for unattend installs, only a few commands are needed. One to wait for a given screen to be active, one to send keystroke, one to send mouse click, and sleep to pause. The online documentation which comes with the program is very good. Also there is a sticky thread with a lot of scripts...look at some of those.

Oh I will! I've been seeing it left and right tonight in other threads as well!

It's got my attention cause if I can get it to install Streets and Trips, Hallmark Card Studio, and such from DVD without user intervention, then I'm SET!!!

Thanks everyone!

Cheers!
