  1. If it works for you and you like it, that's all that matters. I really like building computers and playing with new stuff for 'em so I couldn't imagine me having my computer looking like yours. However I can say that you have one hell of a security system on your computer! Can't imagine a robber thinking, "Oh $500 at a pawn shop!"
  2. Why do people who don't use certain methods, hardware, or etc. assume there's no point to doing something? I had some jerk tell me I was a nut because I have 1,160 Gigs of Hard Drive Space when it's justified for my needs. Just because someone doesn't use something doesn't mean it's not useful for someone else! Since you asked to be enlightened allow me to give you MY use for this Unattended Windows XP DVD.. I need DVD for the extra's. With this guide, you can make HTML turtorials on how to use programs. By taking Snapshots with the Print Screen Button, and making a step by step guide on how to do simple computer task, I have placed these extensive guides on my Unattended DVD... Along with the programs. Now I can pass these to family members. Otay, so what does it do for me? It saves me MAJOR time! Instead of going to each of their houses to juggle disk and install everything. They do it themselves without any difficulty. Instead of spending hours repeating myself on the phone on how to burn a DVD, they open the guide that has been placed on their desktop. (A shortcut anyway. Guide is placed in Program Files to make it all neater) Plus it's easier to redo a system with an Unattended DVD rather than the conventional method. I apperciate you not getting smart in your message. It is easy to put down something you don't like. Alot of people that like Linux will **** window users. Why do people like windows? The same reason men like women! We are drawn to things that don't work like we expect they should and we can spend the rest of our lives trying to figure them out. It's nature! Me personally, I can't stand AOL. But seriously what's the point in stiring up a fight over it? I leave AOLers well enough alone. Unattended has it's advantages. Linux has it's advantages. Windows has it's advantages. And AOL hs it's advantages. To each their own.
  3. The important thing is you were active and took care of yourself. I'm not even 30 yet and I stop with a little prayer, big breath, and lots of effort just to pick something up off the floor. And I'm 170lbs at 5' 11"... Guess how lazy I am!!! It's sad when I play hide and seek with the kids and they catch me before I get back to the base! At least I get to rest as I count to eighhh 75 or 200...
  4. You got a fast connection! KEWL! I guess you were just thinking of those with dial-up... You said be kind to our 56k users... I assumed... Opps! Sorry! But I did as you suggested and put link instead of picture. Rock on dude! Wisc
  5. Note to self... Don't upset Dagonet Second note to self... Learn to buff up bodies in photoshop so people think I'm big and strong!
  6. Oh I will! I've been seeing it left and right tonight in other threads as well! It's got my attention cause if I can get it to install Streets and Trips, Hallmark Card Studio, and such from DVD without user intervention, then I'm SET!!! Thanks everyone! Cheers! Wisc
  7. Thank you Alanoll for introducing me to the block feature for P.M.s! For everyone else, this RAR method won't work for me, because I'm working on a larger scale. I want extra DVDs for large programs like Streets and Trips, Hallmark Card Studio, etc... Cmd file to run one after the other... Made into EXE Autorun starts it once it's inserted in the DVD drive... Bamn... Programs are installed! Put in DVD, that's it! Kewl huh! I'm going to have to look at this AutoIt... I've been seeing it left and right tonight!
  8. Yes, I'll have to agree with these fellers above... I never had a bad experience because I have been VERY weary on trusting people without good feedback! So far all my experiences have been positive! Hopefully it wasn't an expensive lesson learned on ya! Like my $386 bill in the midwest to PNM because I forget to have it cut out of my name before I left to the northeast! Found it on my credit report some 5 years later! I was MAD! I'm like THAT'S BULLCRAP! I can't get by a WEEK here without them shutting me off and you guys let it run up over five hundred bucks! *Apparently I had a deposit which they applied to the bill* So of course I got in a habit of saving everything. All my stubs, recepits, bills, etc... Cheers, and Merry Christmas for those that celebrate it. Happy Holidays to everyone else! Anyone who is offended by the gesture, take it up with the courts. *Little puppy followed his owner to school one day and as it entered the class, the teacher took it back outside, and the puppy is looking at the door hurt and waiting faithfully for it's owner. God looks down and pats him on the head... "It's O.K. little feller. They won't let me in either"
  9. Thanks aresgodofwar! That's a very generous offer, but I'm going to pass on that one. I'm so impressed that you even offered! That really is very kind of you! Maybe you could post a guide here with a few of your favorite tricks you have for AutoIT or even a beginner guide? That way everyone wins and if I still can't understand it, I can figure it out at my slower pace. Instead of feeling guilty because I got you live and am a bad student. Again, the offer itself is golden and very much apperciated. Cheers Wisc *Post edited to remove flammable material* Hey! That was a funny pun!!!

Grow up and in the mean time just quit! Quit telling people what the mods are suppose to be telling them, quit .. Just QUIT! 11. That runonce file needs cleaned majorly! 115 before 110 20 has 165 in it. A bit messy!
  12. Basically what I did was made my last window for the complicated appz that couldn't be installed at the T-13 stage. Office of course being one of them. You must have been getting the write to registery error huh? The good news is you can load a few of these at the end if you change the resolution right before hand! 13. This post was questioning the response by Astalavista, but it has been decided that he's just out to cause trouble, and this post has been edited to prevent flammable material. So let's all just sing us a song and get along and do the goofy goober dance! MERRY CHRISTMAS, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! Wisc
  14. I'd buy a plane ticket, track the *BLEEP* down, and go mid-evil on them!!! Unless of course they looked like they could kick me butt, in which of course I'd be the little sneak and try to steal something from them that would compensate me for my time and effort. Which if they are over seas, you'd be looking at Grand Theft Auto. Sooo... Don't listen to me!
  15. My head hurts trying to figure that program out. Wish I was yew and knew what I was doing with it.
  16. I did my picture as you suggested... Tell me your not in that nice fancy house and you are still on dial-up!!! Dude... I feel for you... I had to go a whole year without high speed when we moved here. It was a sad dull time. Well... Glad it's not me!!! I voted 10. Then I read your message and found out you were dressed up for halloween. Post your pic, or... ALL OF 'EM!!! Did ya ever figure out your BSOD problem? Cause it took me 2 years to figure out my wireless mouse was the little *BLEEP* doing the damage! 2 Years I was thinking I had crappy Ram!!! That drives a person Wisc
  17. Not only is it asking to re-activate, when you do, it throws the expiration date the same as when you first installed the application. So if 3 months from now I use this DVD, I'll only have 9 months before it expires. Wisc
  18. My main goal with this ideal is to make an exe to where I can use an Autorun.inf for other programs. After being tired of people asking me how to install their stuff *What do I click next?* I make an silent install of it, make the cmd file to run them, make this cmd file to an exe to have it autorun once put in the CD/DVD Rom drive and BAMN... It installs the stuff, they CAN'T possibly ask me DIDDLY other than how to use it of course. It has it's advantages unless someone knows a way or program that makes cmd file autorun Wisc
  19. I'm so very excited about this one! WUZ... Guess the ideal was a big flop as a whole month went by and... Depressing results... Wisc
  20. No, that's not a good step to take, since many topics are relevant even months later. Well then how come I'm getting made fun of for responding to a post from 1912? Isn't this post relevant till next week? Seriously though, if a post has been inactive for a month... I understand what your saying, ... Hey... If it works for the forums! I was just thinking after a month without a response, I'd consider it dead. Well I guess I personally couldn't say that... *Sigh* You ever feel like your foots in your mouth when it really shouldn't be?
  21. News to me! And he said December 9th was the big day and that's like ten days away. Yeah, I guess it is a few months old! The board outta be setup to automatically lock topics after 30 days of inactivity... Isn't that a good ideal? Wisc
  22. Mine... Is it incorrect? See I think your Mass Pack things would be so so very awesome if they were separated so individuals could get only what they want. And if they had the little guide explaining where to put them. And they had the entries for the TXTSETUP.SIF and any other file that would need modified. That's asking WAY to much huh! Only reason I even jumped in on this topic was because there are some of the .inf files that had like a dozen or more different IDs and I was like... TELL me I'm not suppose to put in everyone one I see! These are all the ones in nvatabus.inf file, but I didn't add it yet because I wasn't sure if I was to grab ALL those PCI\VEN lines... [NVIDIA] %MCP2Desc%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0065 %CK8Desc%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_A2 %CK8DescSB%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_F2 %CK8Desc%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_A4 %CK8DescSB%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_F4 %CK8Desc%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_A5 %CK8DescSB%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_F5 %CK8Desc%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_A6 %CK8DescSB%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00D5&REV_F6 %MCP2SS%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_008E&REV_A2 %MCP2SS%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_008E&REV_A3 %MCP2SP%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0085 %CK8SSP%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E5 %CK8SSS%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00EE %CK8SSS%=Crush11_Inst,PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_00E3 Then what makes it worse, the nvraid.inf doesn't have a SINGLE PCI\VEN line in the whole .inf file. The Si3112r.inf has ... Oh hell, I lost count around 50... Tell me you wouldn't put ALL those in your TXTSETUP.SIF!!! Has about the same amount in the [sI_HDC.NTx86.5.1] section of this .inf... Which I was sure I wouldn't need to worry about for XP... ; ATI subsystem IDs need to be updated [ATI_HDC] %PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_436E.DeviceDesc%=ATI_436E, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_436E&SUBSYS_436E1002 A few of these also appear. *sigh* Seen this plenty ; List of devices with known configuration issues. What? Personally, If I had the Abit system here, I'd play with it from an DVD+RW till I got it right, but 2 problems. 1: It's not getting mailed till Wednesday 2: There won't be a SATA drive in it... I just wanted it prepared for ... *Teacher who I helped get it* her so if she does get a SATA drive, it won't be nothing for her to get it up and running. I even threw in a few other software titles letting her know that she'd be responsible for registering them if she does use them and likes them. She's almost all set! Thanks for everything! And this is for Everyone reading this who has contributed! It's really apperciated! Wisc
  23. Alanoll That pretty much answers it all then on this subject! Unless I need rundll32.exe iernonce.dll,RunOnceExProcess at the end before Exit, but I'm assuming one wouldn't since it's not on the main page. Cheers! Oh and of course you deserve a drink too!
  24. That looks Great! I wasn't even finished making my post look pretty and you responded!!! Drinks on me! Cheers Mate! Wisc
