I'm posting chunks of it (the parts that need updating) every month after patch day.

Quick question people. Is KB902400 really replaced by KB912817? I have been told that but looking at microsoft kb aritcles i dont see that this is acctually true. thoughts anyone?

thanks for the reply ryan but im just curious if you could explain to me how you know this

Because all the files in KB912817 are newer than those in KB902400?

I think he meant 'without using your eyes' how could you know this...

lol not quite. Yea i compaired both KB articles for these 2 updates. Yes KB912817 does have newer files than KB902400 but KB912817 only updates about 3/4ths of all the files updated in KB902400. So what im saying is that some of the files patched in the older KB902400 are not patched by the newer KB912817. This is why i was wondering if possible both updated are needed since if only KB912817 is used some of the files patched by KB902400 would remain unpatched. let me know if this makes sence

What files are you talking about? Download and extract both hotfixes. Compare the updated files. KB912817 fully updates 902400 ;)

anypne know the install switch for KB917283 ?

I think, You can use /quiet /norestart for silent install ;)

Would be easier if someone make a definitive list of hotfixes, and update it regularly. Saying that one update was removed or substituted is confusing for lots of users. Just write: "this are the necessary hotfix files for your customized cd". Don't you think so?

any links for updates from the last tuesday-patch day that we can integrate to our UACDs? the first post has not been updated yet..

KB916595

KB914388

KB917159
