neuro42 Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 http://unattended.msfn.org/xp/applications/mediaplayer10.htmHere is the easy wayThis is a good thread though as it helps to learn the overall process. Most of the unattended proces I did NOT use the cheat method. This when when something else comes up I can get it done even if no one else knows how
Obliviator Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 That is an easy method, but it isnt really slipstreaming, just a silent install. Try my method: http://www.msfn.org/board/index.php?showtopic=35042
evilvoice Posted December 29, 2004 Author Posted December 29, 2004 @neuro42 you should go back and read the first post...this thread is about how to take out wmp9 out of your windows cd source and create an installable wmp10, thus not having 2 wmp's on your windows cd when there is no need.@Obliviator While I have been keeping up with your post, it does not offer a true slipstream, you have many problems that need to be fixed first before you should come to another thread whose method works and tell people you found a better way. I am not defending the work here, but until your method works 100%, please do not take over another thread until that time comes. And furthermore, both methods do almost the same exact same... yours replaces wmp9 files, this method removes the wmp9 files with nlite and then creates a exe that is installable with svcpack.inf, and I for one have always used svcpack.inf, but it can be used in guirunonce, runonceex, wpi, and other methods that I cant remember the names of...
