Look for 'svcpack.in_'

To extract it: expand -r svcpack.inf

Modify the file

To recompacti: makecab svcpack.inf

Do it after Nlite, it's better (or inside nlite, is it possible ?)

do i add the lines under the first [files] and first [sourcefilesdisk]?

also, where exactly do i add to svcpack.inf?

i just added it to the end

for me, its not working

i think its prolly because i added the lines wrong

An example of svcpack.inf file:

[Version]
Signature="$Windows NT$"
MajorVersion=5
MinorVersion=1
BuildNumber=2600

[SetupData]
CatalogSubDir="\i386\svcpack"

[ProductCatalogsToInstall]

[SetupHotfixesToRun]
mp10setup.exe

You must add command line under [setupHotfixesToRun] section

And put files in '\i386\svcpack' folder

thanks for clearing that up but what about dosnet.inf and txtsetup.sif?

can you explain where to add the lines in those files because i found multiple places where i could put them

like i found 5 different sections of [sourcedisksfiles]

sorry for my newbiness :lol:

hehe its all good...just a "small" oversight...in fact, Ive forgotten about it many times when making a cd...so now its like ingrained in my brain to always check dosnet.inf.

very wrong titou2k...you need

[OptionalSrcDirs]
SVCPACK

in dosnet.inf...I put it at the end

so you just add that and you dont have to add anything else to txtsetup or dosnet?

i got it integrated ok but when it boots up it says that it is unable to find rundll32.exe and an error about loading srcclient.dll

or if you really wanted to slipstream WMP10 you should use the files from MCE 2005. This way the slipstream will even be signed and all :)

Which files exactly?

I copied 37 files beginning with "WMP" from MCE2005 CD1 to /i386 in my distribution folder. Are there any other files or modifications I need to make?

So what steps should I follow for the best install? It doesn't seem like the 1st post of this thread has been updated and I'd prefer to get it right the first time. :D

Thanks.
