SiMoNsAyS
@RyanVM, QFECheck already hated them before in my case it's a problem to integrate hotfixes and the "xpized updated files".combine both is not going to be easy but not because WFP. i would recommend to not disable wfp, the workaround can be the fix for sfcfiles.dll that can be found on this forum. Every other updated file is protected by WFP.And I have yet to see a hacked sfcfiles.dll for SP2 which actually works correctly. Try this: with WFP enabled, integrate sfcfiles.dll into i386, install XP, then look in your dllcache directory. Even though WFP is enabled, it will be empty except for some CAT files. SiMoNsAyS
that is exactly how i'm running now XPized XP (SP2) with sfcfiles hack and WFP enabled i really preffer it this way, i like to keep windows "thinking" it has everything under WFP and i can change my system files as long as they are not in use this is not a problem of this pack, every shellpack will have the same problems (replacing the system files and so on) and for me it doesn't matter. for the moment i would use the temporaly solution by @keytotime keeping in mind the issue with WFP. RyanVM
You're missing my point. WFP is enabled, but in reality it's effectively disabled since there are no protected files in dllcache. I have yet to see a hacked sfcfiles.dll for SP2 that works correctly.

RyanVM
I fail to see the point in that. All that means is every time you change a "protected" file, Windows will complain and ask you to insert the CD since it can't find a cached copy of the file. If so then how did you replace them? Finally just reapply the uxtheme.dll that should fix the problem.

SiMoNsAyS
@RyanVM no , when i replace a system (protected) file i see no prompts and it does not ask me for the windows cd. it appears to take care only of some .cat files (the files cached).@MCT, msgina.dll (only resources 20140, 20141, 20142, 20143 and 20150) and shell32.dll (only resources 14351, 14353, 14354, 14355 and 14356).there you can edit that window, switch user and turn off windows.
