esp
I'm surprised your winnt.sif even works because it begins with ';SetupMgrTag'. Winnt.sif should only begin with [Data].
SiMoNsAyS
I'm surprised your winnt.sif even works because it begins with ';SetupMgrTag'. Winnt.sif should only begin with [Data].??? it does not matter if it starts with ";SetupMgrTag", ";SiMoNsAyS" or ";esp". if the first character of a line is ";", it won't be used. also ";SetupMgrTag" it's the default first line of winnt.sif files created with setup manager from deploy tools so if it's from m$ it's ok
esp
Yes, I thought so too, untill I got several BSOD's and winnt 'no-go's' from text -mode setup. After removing the ;SetupMgrTag it was solved.Strange, but acceptable given most Microsoft software have twists I installed Guireplacer1.4 and placed the icons in the modules folder but i can't start Guireplacer, I get some error of a script in Internet Explorer. Maybe not SP2 ready?Do you know of any other Guireplacer tool? (for use with the gand icons)Thanks
SiMoNsAyS
@esp that it's really strange probably it wasn't because of the first line, probably it was because of the different position of other lines dunno

Maybe Guireplacer1.4 is not SP2 ready?Do you know of any other Guireplacer tool? (for use with the gand icons)Thanks
SiMoNsAyS
@shamshasan thanks @esp the screenshot of the 1st page it's from newly installed sp2 and works perfect for me. i'm not sure about the IE thing... maybe you removed something like IE core or IE main application dunno. anyway try it in a clean copy of xp and then silently install guireplacer.sorry i don't know about any other replacer tool, perhaps manual edit with reshacker?
