September 4, 200223 yr Why slip stream it?! Why not just burn it to a plain old CD-ROM and if you need to reinstall its there...Slipstreaming 100% safe yet?! What if it wipes everything on your CD Now that would be horrible..

What if it wipes everything on your CD Now that would be horrible..You don't understand what slipstreaming is. It is the process of burning a New CD with Windows XP and Service Pack incorporated with each other. So that when you need to reinstall Windows it is already at SP 1 level. Your original XP disk will not be part of the process as you need to copy XP onto your hard drive for the slipstream to be done.
September 4, 200223 yr I installed 1006 when it came out to my WinXP Pro corp version with legit key. Went smoothly. No problem on installation but haven't seen any improvements that stand out. On other hand, i have never had any prob with XP
September 4, 200223 yr Well at the current time, im using Win2k....but once i get all my s*** togeather , im going to make a slipstreamed version, and reinstall Xp on my main machine....Just a tad bit longer to see how its reacting on others rigs.. -Drew
September 10, 200223 yr I got it a few days early from the download.microsoft.com server.. Love it.. I was skeptical at first but I went ahead and put it on, its great!Roland
