Bruners Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 When i try to install Windows Media Player 10 Final, i get this messageAnyone knows what to do?I use Windows XP Pro Corp.
nychong88 Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 what whould it tell you when you click "Details"?
Bruners Posted September 2, 2004 Author Posted September 2, 2004 Just that i have to look at Microsofts information page, but that page find nothing.
DakotaSunRunner Posted September 2, 2004 Posted September 2, 2004 Hi guysI got the same message, I clicked continue and it installed and I have no problem with it at all. I use windows XP sp2 and have had no problems, however, that does not mean others might not. Why this message comes up is anyones guess. but I am sure someone here will have a answer to that, I am just a lowly computer tech that does not get into the nitty gritty of software specs.Take care,Dakota SunRunnerhttp://abe.midco.net/dakota-sunrunner/
Bruners Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 My problem is that Continue is hidden
newdles Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Are you running a legit version of Windows? Not saying anything against you but I see a lot of users that have problems mention they are using Xp Pro Corporate Edition. Home users have no use for the Corporate Edition and I believe that it takes large volume liscensing agreements to legally obtain a copy.
Bruners Posted September 4, 2004 Author Posted September 4, 2004 I own Norwegian XP Home, and Norwegian XP Pro legaly, but since SP2 is not comming for the Norwegian edition yet im running a non leagal XP Pro corp English atm. When SP2 comes for the norwegian edition im going to reinstall back to the norwegian xp..
Papa Smurf Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 Well, I have XP Corp Pro with SP2 and a Canadian issue of WMP9. I downloaded WMP10 and it installed with NO problem at all.I think something else is causing the problem. Maybe installing version 9 first may help?
nolookingca Posted September 4, 2004 Posted September 4, 2004 doesn't xp (or sp2, I forgot which) come with WMP9 already, or am I mistaken?
SiMoNsAyS Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 doesn't xp (or sp2, I forgot which) come with WMP9 already, or am I mistaken?SP2 comes with WMP9 and DX9c slipstreamed.@Bruners, if you don't remove WMP9 from your cd before installing WMP10 you won't get that error
bucketbuster Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I didn't have any problems installing WMP10 after removing WMP9 from my Unattended CD.
SiMoNsAyS Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I didn't have any problems installing WMP10 after removing WMP9 from my Unattended CD.that is because you probably don't have sp2 slipstreamed
