Hi guys

I got the same message, I clicked continue and it installed and I have no problem with it at all. I use windows XP sp2 and have had no problems, however, that does not mean others might not. Why this message comes up is anyones guess. but I am sure someone here will have a answer to that, I am just a lowly computer tech that does not get into the nitty gritty of software specs.

Take care,

Are you running a legit version of Windows? Not saying anything against you but I see a lot of users that have problems mention they are using Xp Pro Corporate Edition. Home users have no use for the Corporate Edition and I believe that it takes large volume liscensing agreements to legally obtain a copy.

I own Norwegian XP Home, and Norwegian XP Pro legaly, but since SP2 is not comming for the Norwegian edition yet im running a non leagal XP Pro corp English atm. When SP2 comes for the norwegian edition im going to reinstall back to the norwegian xp..

Well, I have XP Corp Pro with SP2 and a Canadian issue of WMP9. I downloaded WMP10 and it installed with NO problem at all.

I think something else is causing the problem. Maybe installing version 9 first may help?

doesn't xp (or sp2, I forgot which) come with WMP9 already, or am I mistaken?

SP2 comes with WMP9 and DX9c slipstreamed.

@Bruners, if you don't remove WMP9 from your cd before installing WMP10 you won't get that error ;)
