NAV sucks.

The best antivirus program is Trend Micro PC-Cillin.  It doesn't slow down your computer at all.  It got the highest review for an antivirus program on cnet.

The last time I used that, it screwed up my computer... I had to manually delete everything, registry and everything...

thats cause you probably had either:

another antivirus program allready on your computer (NAV?) usually uninstalling NAV causes problems with your computer. NAV is such a crappy program that when you uninstall it, your computer goes crazy. you should have a clean install of windows before installing an antivirus program. my view is that if you are going to switch av programs, do it with a reformat of windows.

or u already had viruses on your computer that were messing with installers.

nod32 uses hardly any resources, and is a very very powerful virus scanner. been using it for a long time. havn't had a single virus

nod32 didn't catch a virus/similar that really f***ed my pc a while ago (my brother downloaded a keygen or something... he scaned it, with the latest virus defs, and nothing happend, so he used it, and BOOM every *.exe from c:\ was f***ed... i know it was his fault, but i changed antivirus after that)

nav corporate v9 seems fine.

i would try other AV if i am told they are better

I'd also suggest Avast Home. My friend has it on his computer and it's worked well for him. Def updates are small too for those on dialup.

HI all,

I use easy antivirus (Innoculan) and it has worked excellently for me. It scans incoming and outgoing mail etc... I have never had a virus with it, seems to catch everything. It also can come with a firewall, which is made by zone alarm for them. However I use Kerio fire wall, did not install the EZ firewall.

For those who cannot afford a antivirus or firewall here is a address where you can get this for free and it is full retail version also. It is free for one year to microsoft users.

Thanks all,
