  1. i'm a noob and i'm confused. i have: -microsoft natural keyboard pro -wireless intellimouse explore w/o tilt wheel can someone just make me the correct code? i'm using the batch cmd method
  2. so i'll have to apply that before or after i run wmp setup in my batch file?
  3. only thing is now, ever time i install, and run it afterwards, this shows up: is there anyway i can tell it to select which files wmp will be default for and bypass this step?
  4. hey guys! MP10Setup.exe /q:A /c:"setup_wm.exe /Q /R:N /P:#e" this line works! except i extracted the exe to a folder and created a sfx archive and pasted this: ;The comment below contains SFX script commands Setup=setup_wm.exe /Q /R:N /P:#e" TempMode Silent=1 Overwrite=1 works fine for me
  5. ok. that's y that streams thing didn't work. thanks a lot!

  7. best firewall: router with NAT 2nd: tie between sygate and zonealarm
  8. here's the rest of the readme winxp.txt
  9. could i just take: EL2K_XP.sys 3Com 3C2000-T Adapter el2000.inf installation setup script and put them in a sfx and then have it silently run el2000.inf? in the batch file, i can have it install the chipset driver 1st, then install this
  10. here's wat it says for installing my lan driver: i can find both files. should i just copy these 2 files into my drivers folder and use OEMPnpDriversPath? looks like that's all the files it needs. i'll upload el2000.inf if u want to take a look. the prob with this is the if i were to use OEMPnpDriversPath, i'd have to make sure i install the chipset driver 1st. but there's no inf's for the chipset driver EL2000x.inf
  11. like i said, some don't have infs. if the sfx thing works, i'll just do that
  12. still a bit confused, do i just add this to the regtweaks.reg: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams] "Settings"=hex:09,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,00,77,7e,13,73,35,cf,11,ae,\ 69,08,00,2b,2e,12,62,04,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,43,00,00,00 ?
  13. I'm installing my drivers using the new nlite. I have a asus p4p800 Deluxe, and here's the list of drivers i need to install: 1985WDM_3630.zip (audio) inf5021003.zip (chipset) 046_3c940.zip (lan) the lan has this autorun.inf: i'm guessing i need to run that rite? do i add /silent to make it silent? the audio and chipset drivers dont have inf files, so can i just extract it, make an sfx and tell it to run the setup.exe? will that work the same?
  14. get winrar. it's the most commonly used archiver/extracter prog.
  15. ah, solid archive. will do that. @shef Sale, it works fine for me. and i didn't even put /noreboot in the comments. sometimes probs can be caused by using snapshot
  16. i'm getting around 17mb for the sfx. wat steps did u guys use to make it smaller?
  17. would it work if i just installed with /verysilent and no inf stuff? cuz i'll prob just install default settings. that what i normally use anyway
  18. i've found the direct solution to that problem. if your installing by using the revert to saved snapshot feature that vmware has, that's what's causing the problem. i got the exact same pop up, and i deleted my old virtual pc and started a new one, and no probs at all
  19. where do i get the inf? from the folder in program files?
  20. oh! ok. as long as it gets deleted. i'll do that then. thanks!
  21. thanks. i think i got it. actually, i want it extracted to desktop so i can delete it rite away
