Kiljaeden
I struggled with Detals view too.Use this in your cmdlines.txt which runs at T-12.Detail view will be enabled for all users. Look here for more help with importing settings for all users. Thanks to everyone.;Detail mode in all folder[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Streams]"Settings"=hex:09,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00,77,7e,13,73,35,cf,11,ae,\69,08,00,2b,2e,12,62,04,00,00,00,03,00,00,00,43,00,00,00This doesn't seem to work on my current PC or my other PC. It resets everything to Icons mode and it won't let me "apply to all folders" in Folder Options > View!! Am I the only one with this problem? Also, is the value for "Settings" supposed to be in one or two lines?

gabriel_buc
Ok you may call me FREAK , but I must say that I had the strenght & courage to read ALL 789 posts in this topic !!!!!But that was very useful ... I managed to create my own ULTIMATE REGISTRY TWEAK THANK YOU ALL guys Some of the tweaks are very, very useful or interesting !!!!!As on cleaning this topic i think it's nothing we can do It's too crawded. The only thing it can be done is to post somewhere on the MSFN unattended webpage a reg file HIGHLY DOCUMENTED that contains all the tweaks that have been posted here, so that anyone could pick the tweaks he likes. mwiner
Here are my WMP9 tweaks. really only the HKLM entry works because I have WMP9 installed after the HKCU tweak and it must reset the "AcceptedPrivacyStatement"=dword:00000001" to 0. I have fixed it with a custom ADM in AD. ;---------------------------;Windows Media Player Tweaks;---------------------------; Acceptance of EULA for no UI[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]"AcceptedEULA"=dword:00000001; Acceptance of Privacy Statement for no UI[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences]"AcceptedPrivacyStatement"=dword:00000001
CoffeeFiend
Yet another tweak! (This is only like 80 pages long, gotta keep it going)After you install MS Office 2003, there's an annoying tray icon that asks you if you want to take the survey and such (I hate it). This gets rid of it nicely:REGEDIT4[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\Internet]"UseOnlineContent"=dword:00000002[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\Common]"QMEnable"=dword:00000000
Alanoll
@gabriel_bucIs this YOUR file I found on another post (not by you)? I ask because it is quite lengthy and documented on what most of the things do. If it is, fantastic job. As for the monstrosity of a thread, does anyone want to start a new one? Comb through this thread, document each tweak and post in a new topic? Also, I don't know waht you people are talking about, I only show 29 pages On a side note, anyone know of the registry to turn off that annoying check on downloaded files? The one that asks, "are you sure you want to run this?"ALL_regtweaks_msfn.zip
