I could do what your followers do - ask for proof of being a mathematician.

It would only be needed if @AstroSkipper relied on that do fortify his position on the site, which he never did, as he told, he only barely mentioned it, unlike you who frequently mentioned you worked in the "IT department".

Yep! A clean, genuine Windows XP Professional. Only the service pack SP3 and all post SP3 updates until 2014.

Genuine Windows XP Professional is what I have on my notebook, I'm sorry, I have no plans to install any updates at all. Thorium and Supermium both launch fine.

I have never worked in an IT Department.  NEVER.  I do use "IT deparment", IN QUOTES, as a REFERENCE to how STUPID our company's "IT department" is!

Thank you for the clarification! I'll memorise it.

Let H0 be the null hypothesis "Thorium crashes due to lack of POSReady updates".
H0 must be rejected due to @NotHereToPlayGames's and @Saxon's report that Thorium runs fine in their Windows XP installations without POSReady updates. :P Unfortunately, the probability of error for this decision cannot be determined due to the too small sample size. :buehehe:

I'm just thankful that Saxon is on my side for once, LOL.

Saxon is being objective. My purely personal opinion regarding updates, especially XP updates, they slow down your PC. I'm not taking sides, and there's no need to do that.

I'm not participating in any "formations", or whatever someone earlier tried to insinuate. Does my opinion match yours? Good! It also matches @Gansangriff's, too!

My respect to @AstroSkipper is huge, nevertheless.

I agree.  We used to have several XP x86 SP2 forum members.  They were "ran off" when they tried to "rep farm".
