NotHereToPlayGames Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I could do what your followers do - ask for proof of being a mathematician. 1

It would only be needed if @AstroSkipper relied on that do fortify his position on the site, which he never did, as he told, he only barely mentioned it, unlike you who frequently mentioned you worked in the "IT department". 2

Genuine Windows XP Professional is what I have on my notebook, I'm sorry, I have no plans to install any updates at all. Thorium and Supermium both launch fine. 3

I have never worked in an IT Department. NEVER. I do use "IT deparment", IN QUOTES, as a REFERENCE to how STUPID our company's "IT department" is! 2

We already had this disscusion here: https://msfn.org/board/topic/184051-my-browser-builds-part-4/?do=findComment&comment=1251008 And there is nothing more to add to this statement. 5
AstroSkipper Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 (edited) Let H0 be the null hypothesis "Thorium crashes due to lack of POSReady updates". H0 must be rejected due to @NotHereToPlayGames's and @Saxon's report that Thorium runs fine in their Windows XP installations without POSReady updates. Unfortunately, the probability of error for this decision cannot be determined due to the too small sample size. Edited August 11, 2024 by AstroSkipper Update of content 5
NotHereToPlayGames Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I'm just thankful that Saxon is on my side for once, LOL.

My purely personal opinion regarding updates, especially XP updates, they slow down your PC. I'm not taking sides, and there's no need to do that. I'm not participating in any "formations", or whatever someone earlier tried to insinuate. Does my opinion match yours? Good! It also matches @Gansangriff's, too! My respect to @AstroSkipper is huge, nevertheless. 2

AstroSkipper Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 @NotHereToPlayGames Which version of Thorium do you run on your Windows XP 32-bit without POSReady updates? 4
NotHereToPlayGames Posted August 11, 2024 Posted August 11, 2024 I once went to upgrade to v124 but the download's own README cited it as for LINUX. I don't recall seeing a v124 XP version, but I could be mistaken.

There isn't, but it will be updated soon to 124. https://github.com/Alex313031/thorium-legacy/issues/105 Edited August 11, 2024 by mina7601 2
