StartAllBack RC: New System Tray

Another minor compatibility bug, Networx has an option to show a graph over the systray icon on hover as a tooltip. This worked previously and seems to be broken now.

It's this setting.

This is what happens on hover:

This is what should happen:

It does work properly on click but should also work without clicking.

@Tihiy I came across a weird graphical bug. Here is a screen recording. In addition to this sometimes at random I will get a duplicate overflow arrow which then goes away on its own.

Edit: Here is a screenshot of the duplicate arrow.

  • Tihiy changed the title to StartAllBack Beta: New System Tray

StartAllBack 3.7BETA

https://startisback.com/StartAllBack_setup.exe

Quote

- New Tray icons UI configuration page (replaces Notification Area Icons Control Panel applet):

* Tweak system icon visibility

* Tweak app icon visibility (same as Settings)

* Tweak tray icon margins

! You want to wipe HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\NotifyIconSettings registry key if you have used SAB Canary, it was corrupted :unsure:

So I'm running this on my Win 11 VM that runs on my Unraid server. I access the VM over RDP. When I first connect to the session there is usually some sort of weird graphical issue with the taskbar followed by an explorer crash and then everything is back to normal. It has happened twice so far.

Edit: this happens every time I connect to my RDP session.

explorer crash

Can't repro that. Please capture crash dump

1) Import this registry key http://startisback.com/Enable_Crash_Reports.reg

2) Create C:\dumps folder

3) Crash

4) Send me dmp file from C:\dumps folder
