Karla Sleutel Posted July 7, 2023 Posted July 7, 2023 Pretty much what the topic says, I was able to get Injustice 2 {2018} up and running, after I figured out how to install these new video drivers, I have to admit, it was not easy to find any help topics about nVidia, the search showed only bizarre results. https://msfn.org/board/topic/183688-breakthrough-new-nvidia-drivers-ported-to-vista-tutorial/ But no sound, no matter what I do. Please share the ideas. the game shows no particular errors and works fine. 5
Karla Sleutel Posted July 8, 2023 Author Posted July 8, 2023 So I went out and bought TerraTec AUREON7.1PCIe 7.1 PCIe internal audio card. I'm out of ideas... 6
Cocodile Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 Is it only one game without sound? Did you try to change sampling rates to 48Khz? 2
Cocodile Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 You didn't tell us, do you run Vista with, or without @win32kernel? I read a report of someone having no sound too, in some latest kernel, I myself never had such troubles with his kernel. 2
Dixel Posted July 9, 2023 Posted July 9, 2023 I can't seem to find the exact engine it runs on, I would have to buy the game first, is a "mono" based game? 4

Dixel Posted July 13, 2023 Posted July 13, 2023 if doesn't help, add the XAPOFX1_5.dl from the redist, too. 3
Karla Sleutel Posted July 21, 2023 Author Posted July 21, 2023 Thanks all! Still no luck( I tried with and without @win32kernel. Tried all different sound settings. I'm very close to giving up( 4
Tripredacus Posted July 21, 2023 Posted July 21, 2023 When using a sound card, you should disable onboard sound in the motherboard BIOS. If your video card has HDMI, verify that Windows default audio device is the sound card output and not the video card.

Any others work fine with sound, be it onboard realtek, or the new dedicated card I bought. HDMI driver not installed, I have no use for it, the speakers are hooked up via Sony Philips digital output (SPDIF). 4
D.Draker Posted May 15, 2024 Posted May 15, 2024 Do you have Enchantress update? After the Enchantress patch they had "fixed" the low volume "issue", I didn't have that issue with the volume with only the basic game set, and had to turn it down drastically to avoid hearing damage. 4
