One thing we know about AstroSkipper is that he doesn’t like it when people try to put words in his mouth.  I for one certainly took his geopolitical explanation at face value!

Thank you for the advice! Much appreciated! But I'm afraid, I'm gonna have to ask you very politely, please, in the future, when you quote me, do not remove or somehow distort what I said. I don't mind my replies be partially quoted, but when you remove the most important parts, in this case something you clearly don't want to see, Interesting vulnerability in Kaspersky. (CVE-2019-8286)., it's just dirty and may point out to the thing that you simply have nothing more to say.

Please be polite and respectful, like we do, it's what this forum is all about!

Malwarebytes Premium works great in my Windows XP Professional SP3 system. No crashes, Malwarebytes is doing what I has configured, no disempowerment of the user and regular definition updates several times a day. And if you then have a lifetime licence, what more do I want in my Windows XP computer? :P

Thank you for your worries! This is absolutely no wonder when a member is absent during summer season! I'll may go to a vacation too, maybe next month.

Meanwhile, I'm sure there will be a lot of members to warn our dear citizens of the Kaspersky dangers,

for example, I'm preparing a translation from the Italian Government, and I ask if we can call for help with the translation from our dear Italian members?

First of all, and as I already said, I appreciate your contributions here very much.

Thank you very much AstroSkipper! You've always been very helpful! Could you please help me again, I need to decide whether Antitracks is still worth mentioning here?

You're welcome! And thank you for your contribution here! I do appreciate every new recommendation. Here is the last working link of Anti Tracks' homepage:

I will check it. I never used it before and I don't know whether it is XP-compatible or not. We will see. But thanks again!

You really think it is better than Avast? I know you used Avast for a long time (as did I), and I’m prepared to believe that anything is better than Panda. Aside from the obvious fact that Avast Free is free whereas Malwarebytes Premium costs money, my only other concern was the difference in their protection scores back in 2018:

https://www.av-test.org/en/antivirus/home-windows/windows-10/october-2018/

Still, we had MSFN members (including a moderator) who spoke highly of Malwarebytes 3.5.1 long before our old “2019” thread became hyperinflated (and ultimately locked), so I’m not inclined to debate you on this point. :)

It surely is, I tried on my old German-made XP notebook from the 2010 era.

Ok! On their homepage, they indeed listed Windows XP as a supported platform for Anti Tracks. I will check whether the last version 9.0.1 is still XP- compatible, too. :)
