pappyN4v2 Posted December 6, 2024 Posted December 6, 2024 @DietmarDo you remember what is difference between v8 and acpiSkull3new.sys from 2024.11.11? On Intel Asrock B760M-HDV/M.2/D4, both 2003x64 and 2003x86 ACPI 7777.8 - 2023.04.17 BSOD A5 (03,...,C0000034,...) 7777.8 - 2023.04.17 - A5x11+A5x03 BSOD 0A (00,02,00,...) acpiSkull3new.sys - 2024.11.11 works I would like to make same change to 2003x86 v8 to test something, but error is not C0140010 so must be something else that was patched between v8+A5x11+A5x3 and this one? New file shows very different in hex compare, I guess maybe compiled from new source

This acpi.sys above will work for nearly all desktop pcs from 1999 to 2025 for XP. But for newer notebooks (starting from 2015) there are a lot of different hurdles, mostly in the underlying DSDT for its graphic card Dietmar Hi, Can You repost the last file acpi.sys for xp 32 bit ? the link require account premium windows Xp with acpi patch 7777 works on my desktop pc, it shuts down correctly, but when I reboot it freezes, can you tell me why? it's an asrock q1900 motherboard Edited December 13, 2024 by casey 1

Mark-XP Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 The acpi.sys is in the zip/iso. One can integrate the ACPI-patch (for > 2016 intel mainboards) to any XP(32).iso with the patch-integrator script of the zip archive.

Dietmar Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 (edited) @casey Hi, disable everything in Bios, that you dont need for boot. All USB, sound, network, internal graphik, use graphik card, etc. Dietmar PS: I did it for myself on this crazy q1900 board. Step by step I also disabled everything in Device Manager of XP SP3. "Now I have also sound on full ACPI Multiprocessor XP SP3 on the Q1900m board. For this I have to disable "Microsoft UAA-Bustreiber für High Definition Audio" in Device Manager and after this to enable "Microsoft UAA-Bustreiber für High Definition Audio" again, crazy." Mark-XP Posted December 15, 2024 Posted December 15, 2024 Two funny (yet innocuous) effects here too: - rebooting from XP (with Realtek driver) to Win7 (standard audio driver) -> No sound (comes back after sleep and wakeup) - Cold start boot to Win XP (no driver for internal Graphic): some 20 seconds idleing on the boot screen; in contrast only 2 seconds, when doing a reboot from Win7 to XP. I suspect missing (or lousy implemented) initializations in firmware or drivers in such cases.

How can I solve this problem?
