Try ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a! It is an old version created by the original developer. Here is a download link: http://www.proxfilter.net/proxhttpsproxy/ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.3a.zip Or ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.5. Download link: http://jjoe.proxfilter.net/ProxHTTPSProxyMII/files/ProxHTTPSProxyMII 1.5 advanced 34cx_freeze5.0.1urllib3v1.22Win32OpenSSL_Light-1_0_2o-1_1_0h.zip AFAIK, both versions were built with Python 3.4. More can be read in my main article. There are further links for information. BTW, these versions are pure proxies without the PopMenu and my self-created programmes. They are original releases from their developers. Edited July 13 by AstroSkipper 3

All of them can be found with their download links in the section 11.1. Archived Downloads {obsolete} and 11.2.1.1. Downloads related to ProxHTTPSProxy of my main article. AstroSkipper Posted August 20 Author Posted August 20 Update notification! As already reported, the Root Certificates have been updated and are now from 28-05-2024. Here again a screenshot: I totally forgot to update my self-created, offline Root Certificate Updaters in the section 11.2.4. Downloads related to Root Certificate Updates (in the first post of this thread). I have just made up for that. Cheers, AstroSkipper 4
XProxy Posted Tuesday at 01:45 PM Posted Tuesday at 01:45 PM (edited) I have errors when trying to access files linked in the beginning of this thread.. For example for ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3, i get this for this link : https://www.mediafire.com/file/1fd0ezzpuy7qctu/ProxHTTPSProxy_TLS_1_3_1_5_220717_PopMenu_3V3.7z/file Quote Dangerous File Blocked The file you attempted to download was determined to be dangerous. For your protection, MediaFire does not enable distribution of dangerous files. I was able to finally get it after creating a mediafire account and through URL manipulation. Then after testing on 2 different Windows XP sp3 machines (with Intel SSE2 support), i was not able to get it working. Seems like Python 3.7 does not work on them : I get this error : C:\Program Files\ProxHTTPSProxy_TLS_1_3>ProxHTTPSProxy.EXE Fatal Python error: initfsencoding: unable to load the file system codec ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'encodings' Same error if i try to run the provided Python 3.7 from the command line : C:\Program Files\ProxHTTPSProxy_TLS_1_3\python>python37.exe Fatal Python error: initfsencoding: unable to load the file system codec ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'encodings' (I did install .net framework 4.0 and VC2015 Redistributable 14.0.23026.) Is there a ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3 version without python ? I was able to get MII v1.5 working. But this version does not work with an Athlon XP machine without SSE2 support. What ProxHTTPSProxy version should i use for Windows XP sp3 on a SSE only processor (i need TLS 1.2 and recent Certificate support to access aviationweather.gov) ? Thanks for helping. You are the very first reporting problems with the download of files I hosted on MediaFire. In any case, all my files are clean and free of malware. If MediaFire really reports something like this, it is very wrong. Furthermore, Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 is now required to run my program package. Check if both are installed in your system! A CPU with SSE2 instruction set is no longer required, SSE only is sufficient. These are the system requirements for ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3. So, it actually should run on your Athlon XP computer. Especially, since @cmalex made it compatible with SSE only processors. 6 hours ago, XProxy said: Then after testing on 2 different Windows XP sp3 machines (with Intel SSE2 support), i was not able to get it working. My main Windows XP computer is equipped with an Intel Pentium 4 SSE2 processor, and ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3 works there like a charm . BTW, it was developed and tested on this computer. So, I fear you did something wrong, or all your machines are missing something. Edited Tuesday at 07:49 PM by AstroSkipper Update of content 3

I have now checked my MediaFire account, and indeed, some of my files uploaded years ago are suddenly and wrongly flagged as malicious. MediaFire seems to use a new virus scanner, and it must be very bad. Therefore, all flagged files will be replaced by me with archives protected by a password to free MediaFire from such false positives. The password will be provided in the section 11. NotHereToPlayGames Posted Tuesday at 08:37 PM Posted Tuesday at 08:37 PM Wow! I can't help but laugh at yet another virus scanner yielding FALSE POSITIVES.

Thanks a lot for those precise answers. I was able to find the problem. I made an error when locating Visual C++ 14.28.29213.0 redistributable. In fact i had version 14.0.23026 installed... After downloading and installing the right version, i can now start ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3. One day of head scratching for this error Plus one hour of research and URL manipulations to get around the Mediafire blocked file Looking for the right version i did see a 14.29.30139 version : https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2883-microsoft-visual-c-redist-2015-2019-for-windows-xp/ Is it really working ? I can now try 3V3 on the Athlon XP-M machine where i need it. In the meantime i did install an SSE2 TLS 1.2 version on another PC in the same network, and did configure the Athlon XP machine proxy settings to target this PC. This was working. Edit : i cannot install Visual C++ 14.28.29213.0 redistributable on this Athlon XP-M machine (SSE compatible). I got this error : As a side note, a lot of forums posts have lost interest because the files they are pointing to have been deleted, sometimes by antivirus systems, sometimes because the site did close, or other reasons. It's good when possible to self host, use archive sites for such important and extensive works, and or at least have a local copy. Thanks a lot for all this very nice work. The error code means illegal instruction, so CPU doesn't support invoked instruction (SSE2?). Yes i think that the Microsoft installer for VC++ redistributable 14.28.29213.0 is not compatible anymore with SSE only processors, at least for the installer. Version 14.0 was compatible and probably some versions between 14.0 and 14.28. Microsoft did probably enable the SSE2 compilation flag on the latest installers. According to Microsfot this VC++ redistributable needs 1 GB of RAM. The machine where i did install it has only 512 MB. But the error message i got does not seem to show a memory problem. I think that it is more an SSE2 or AMD processor compatibility problem. According to Chat GPT, the problem does come from missing SSE2. The VC++ 2015-2019 distributable package can fail for the more recent versions. And even when installed manually or with another installer, It could be possible that some parts of the installed packages could not work without SSE2. A few Athlon XP SSE bugs have been reported in a multithreaded environment. But i feel that we are not in this case here. Then i did find a solution, using a VC++ redistributable AIO installer. Here is a stripped version of this package, where i did remove everything except the needed VC++ 14.28.29213.0 redistributable. This installer does not cause the missing instruction error. I did install only the minimal package that seems enough for ProxHTTPSProxy. https://www.stonerecording.art/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/VC_redist.x86-v14.28.29213.0-AIO-version.zip Actually i did test and use successfully a ProxyMII_220717 version on a Athlon XP processor. Seems to work. I did not test yet ProxHTTPSProxy's PopMenu TLS 1.3 3V3, but i'm quite confident that it should works too. Edited Wednesday at 01:18 PM by XProxy
UCyborg Posted Wednesday at 10:01 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:01 PM I tend to always install VisualCppRedist AIO. I like that it includes even runtimes that were never released as redist installs and aren't as straightforward to find. So the old stuff is easily covered by latest version of needed runtime installed system-wide, no need for local app copies then.
XProxy Posted Wednesday at 11:10 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:10 PM 58 minutes ago, UCyborg said: I tend to always install VisualCppRedist AIO. Yes it is the one i did use to make the stripped version linked in my previous message. My version only has the package for Windows XP and ProxHTTPSproxy. It is only 6.69 MB instead of 16.8 Mo for the full XP Package. Sometimes it is interesting to have the minimum footprint on old machines with very small hard disks or compact flash cards. Install is done directly from the msi file. 1
