Verstappen Posted March 19 Posted March 19 (edited) Unfortunately, this problem is still there in 3.9.6: "Win + Ctrl + Num x" brings the wrong window into focus. And I re-write the steps about how to reproduce: Say we have 3 windows grouped at the 2nd position on the taskbar. Focus on the 1st window of this 2nd group. Press "Win + Ctrl + Num 2" to switch to the 2nd window of the 2nd group. Switch to another window of another group by clicking the icon on the taskbar using the mouse and do not click the target window itself.(Do NOT use "Win + Ctrl + Num x" in this step) Press "Win + Ctrl + Num 2". After the last step, it focuses on the 1st window of the 2nd group (should've focused on the 2nd window of the 2nd group). Notes: To reproduce this problem, Step 4 must be executed following Step 3. (Doing any other things could prevent the issue from being reproduced.) Step 3 can be repeated (i.e. switching to other windows by clicking on the taskbar) as long as no other actions are executed. Tested on the stock taskbar (windows 11, 24H2 (26100.3476)) which is good without the issue. Hope I stated the steps clearly. Thanks. Edited March 19 by Verstappen
Zubastic Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Hello, I having issue with groupping settings. Before update 24H2 it respected pinned icons: if I had explorer icon and launched app - pinned icon dissapeared. Now I have 2 icons: one as pinned and one as launched. It is bug or feature? Is it possible to fix (to return beheavor as before update?).
Tihiy Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 Well you need to unpin and pin explorer or change combining setting
Zubastic Posted March 19 Posted March 19 40 minutes ago, Tihiy said: Well you need to unpin and pin explorer or change combining setting After pinning separate icon appeared again: Before: After: Unpinning and pinning again did same behavior. At settings set "never group", so explorer icon only showed when no any folders were opened.
Tihiy Posted March 19 Author Posted March 19 (edited) Never group means never group nothing at all. You need to set 'Never' Edited March 19 by Tihiy

I have two monitors, but it always opens on the primary one. Thanks! This should be possible with 3.9.6 with StartMenuMonitor=2 registry setting 2

Overview7696 Posted March 20 Posted March 20 When I use the Win+D shortcut to show my desktop, the taskbar randomly goes turns into a broken transparent taskbar. Has anyone else had this issue? https://i.imgur.com/9zZPqmJ.png
Andriy Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Issue report - Incorrect preview of combined windows when changing screen scaling I use taskbar vertically aligned on the right side. When Settings > System > Display > Scale changes because of connecting to external monitor, the combined taskbar buttons preview does not properly show the open windows - see attached examples. There is a number of open Internet Explorer windows, but they don't fit all on the screen in preview. To reproduce the issue 1) Set screen scaling to eg 125% 2) Open many windows, so that they start getting combined on the task bar 3) Change screen scaling to eg 150 or 100%, but so that the windows are still combined 4) Try to preview the windows combined under one tasbar button Very often you'll get incomplete view like in the images attached.
S7rUww3lP373R Posted March 20 Posted March 20 Hi everyone. I've a question for the developer: Is it possible to increase the area where the window can be dragged with the mouse? As you can see in the screenshot, I am using the Windows 7 style Explorer with compact view (but the problem is also present in the non-compact setting). The problem that annoys me - because I often misclick here - is that there is an area above the address bar where the window can't be dragged with the mouse. (I marked this area with the yellow bar, the area above the red lines can be dragged.) So, it it possible for startallback to fix that?

Registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Desktop\WindowMetrics REG_SZ = "CaptionHeight" Value formula = -15*desired height in pixels (so for 15 pixel height of titlebar, value would = -225)
sausje Posted March 23 Posted March 23 Hey, I don't know if this is something you could implement, but can SAB manage visibility of taskbar per monitor? I'm now using a 3rd monitor and would love to be able to disable the taskbar on that one alone while keeping main and second active. Sadly Windows only allows either all monitors or just the main.. Thanks in advance!
