Tripredacus
.exo file is a propretary file created by a specific Youtube app on Android. I would recommend using some other method to download the video than to use that app to do it.

Tripredacus
Oh I forgot, the only other way I could think is to use one of those Android emulators and have that Youtube app loaded on it. I have not used an Android emulator in a long time and back then it seemed really buggy.
HarryTri
In the Adobe Flash Player era YouTube's videos were FLV ones. Does anyone know what they are now (in their original form)? I have the impression that they are MP4 but I'm not sure at all.
hotnuma
I think there is different audio and video stream formats available for each YT video. When using youtube-dl with the "-F" option you can get a list of all available streams and then you can download a file with the video and audio format that you want. Usually, streams are m4a, webm, mp4 or 3gp.
