Ponch Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Hey Nuhi, The vLite download is redirected to NTLite but NTLite warns you that Vista is not supported. So what to do? Try NTLite anyway?
Ponch Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 Wow... I guess vLite fans are as dead as Vista. I'll ask this in the NTLite forum.
jaclaz Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 (edited) I am not sure to understand. Is the question "Where can I download Vlite from?"Vlite is FINAL as per 1.2 since 12 September 2008:http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/121477-vlite-v12-final-rapidcatched/http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/139669-will-there-be-vlite-13/Why can't you get it from one of the many mirrors around?(say) Softpedia:http://download.softpedia.com/dl/a208a4414700fcfa0d79de29c7dff77a/5530053f/100057113/software/os_enhance/vLite-1.2.installer.exeor (still say):http://www.techportal.it/dl/vLite-1.2.installer.exe If you don't trust these sites you can always use the Wayback Machine, *like*:https://web.archive.org/web/20080913071756/http://www.vlite.net/download.htmlOr it is more like "Hey peeps, nuhi has made a mess with download links and redirections!" jaclaz Edited April 16, 2015 by jaclaz 1

Ponch Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 I am not sure to understand. Is the question "Where can I download Vlite from?"The question was "try NTLite anyway?". The question mark should have been a hint.
jaclaz Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 The question was "try NTLite anyway?". The question mark should have been a hint.Maybe a little too subtle as a hint, given that the thread is TITLED as a question: Where's the Download gone? However, and JFYI: Life is "trying things to see if they work" jaclaz
Ponch Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 If you read the 1st post, I give the answer to the "title question", then ask a second question. That's the one I want an answer to. Then I say I'll ask that in an other sub-forum. It's not very subtle.
jaclaz Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 Ok , I will gladly re-phrase that into "too subtle for both myself and submix8c, i.e. those that represent the 100% of people taking the time to actually attempt answering the question you didn't ask or that you asked and answered yourself". If you prefer, due to the obtuseness or shortsightedness of the people that read your clearly posed and definitely unambiguous question and attempted to help you, you received answers to some other question that you never asked or asked and already answered yourself.. I would say that in order to not repeat in the future this kind of misunderstandings either of two actions are required:1) phrase your questions in an even more elementary way, so that even simpler minds can univocally understand them2) elevate the comprehension abilities of good willing helping members It seems to me like option #1 above is more practical, but obviously I may be not qualified to provide this kind of advice. jaclaz

I'll have this closed so I have the last word (I now you hate it). An other option is to waste both your time and mine. Edited April 17, 2015 by Ponch
Tripredacus Posted April 17, 2015 Posted April 17, 2015 In the future if you feel your question would have been better asked in another forum, please PM a moderator an ask that the topic be moved rather than creating a new topic.
