Personally, I don't use an AV client, and haven't had any problems. The best client is user awareness. Use Firefox, or a browser besides IE. Don't use Outlook Express. Use Thunderbird. Don't download random attachments, unless you specifically ask for it.

Hi Folks,

I find bitdefender pro 7.2 to be awesome.

It will even work fine on my 2k3 domain controller.

The updates are fast.

I am interested to know more about Norman av though.

And who made the selection list where we vote???

terrible selection which looks like it was designed to make norton look good.

later

its not only about what u download but what the folks on your network download, if u download a av or spysweeper u might get a no of reports.

that isn't fair

u compare nav corp & nav 2k4 with poor mcafee 7

No

plz add mcafee 8 pro

& mcafee enterprise 8

I use the later on my workstation ; it is quite lite tho made 4 servers & very powerful ; easy to update ; very fast for update

but the sad thing personally ; it clasifies PSKILL.EXE as a virus

apart of this ; it is very charming

From things I've read NOD32 is supposed to catch 100%, which no other AV can do. It is more expensive though. Norton is too buggy and their support sucks. I do use it, though. I would switch to Trend-Micro PC-Cillin (OfficeScan is the network version) if it was cheaper. I also use AVG on one machine and it seems to work just fine. I can't complain about it because it is free. Just my opinion. :)

I use Norton Antivirus (NAV) 2003.

I tried out NAV 2004, and was shocked at the system processes it uses :). Also seen the many unhappy people, from reviews, complaining about it's instability. It uses built spyware detection, but I'd rather use the very satisfactory NAV 2003 version and Ad-aware together  .
